Mads is BACK! For now LOL ;)

Wouldn't ya know it Boxing Day seemed to be the ticket for Mads...she woke up happy and was back to her old self again!!! ALLLLLL DAY!!! We were in heaven! You really don't know (ok well you do but it just hits home harder) how cranky your child has been when they get back to being their nice normal selves after three whole weeks of h.e.l.l.. And I'm happy to report that yesterday the 27th was a GREAT day too! Could we be getting our little cutie pie back?! I SURE hope so! We still don't know what it was, she doesn't have any teeth yet so I don't think it was that? I was starting to worry it was an ear infection but we just don't know. We are back to formula though now, guess she finally got over her sick tummy enough to want to get back on the formula and resist the b.o.o.b. heehee. So she's been eating better too although still not too interested in solids. :( We're trying to get that back on track too.

Christmas was great here in our household, and it's always kind of sad when it's done. Although I finally have had some time to play with my new ipod now that things have settled down and I am having a blast! I still only managed to get 4 songs loaded though and no pics, why does everything seem to take me so long now????? LOL I think there's a 6 month old who could tell you why heehee!

Anyway, I'm hoping to get some pics of Christmas uploaded soon, dummy me, I loaded them to facebook and then deleted them (only the fixed jpegs, yeah I'm a photo fixer not a straight uploader LOL! Those zits and red eyes just will not do! Heehee!)

Anyway, my little lady slept in this morning and I think she's waking up so off I go, as I always say to her "Good Morning Sunshine"...there's no face sweeter! (Kelsey is also included in that last line! Can't forget my girl that's growing up, she's sooo beautiful too!)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

WOW Do I really have a spare second on Christmas day? DH is upstairs with Maddy while she is having a nap, once she gets up it's shower time and then head off to the IL's for dinner so yup here I sit dressed and ready waiting for Maddy so we can get this show on the road lol!

Christmas at our house this year was supposed to be scaled back but darn if we weren't all spoiled for sure! Heehee. I got an ipod touch (yay my first mp3 player!) and a digital chi hair straightener and a pair of black Emu's no...not the animal the boots that are similar to Uggs and few other things! Does is sound like I was spoiled?! YOU BETCHA!!! Thanks Honey! You are SOOOOO good to us!

Kelsey got a ton too but her big gift was an ipod nano, green in color of course! ;) And my lovely hubby got a sattelite radio and a new garage door opener among other things. Maddy got a TON of presents too and she loves them all so far, but only for like 10 seconds each LOL! She really did well unwrapping for being only 6 months!

Unfortunately she is still completely out of sorts. :(  We were up half the night and she just won't stop fussing. I think we are gonna have to go back to the doc to see if there's something wrong. We can't feel ANY teeth so it's doubtful it's that. Maybe an ear infection although she has always just played with her ears and it doesn't seem to be more than usual lately. We certainly won't forget this Christmas LOL!

Well I think she's up, so off we go! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE WE KNOW AND LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Long time no post...

Well things have gotten crazy around here. Remember when I said I was sick? Well last weekend DH got it, the next day Kelsey got it and Maddy already had come down with it Wednesday night too...UGH! So the past week and a half was spent in a sick haze for everyone, except for me but dealing with the sickies left me in a grumpy haze LOL! Even my computer got sick! It got a stinkin trojan so mega bucks later it's (finally) back home where it belongs, sigh, at least I didn't lose any data.

I'm glad to report that everyone is finally better but Maddy has gone through some changes. Since she was sick she started b.r.e.a.s.t.f.e.e.d.i.n.g. again (which is fine I had mixed feelings about her being completely formula fed) but she won't eat solids anymore. :( I am trying but she is as stubborn as they come and is still resisting. Her appetite is finally almost back to normal (minus the aforementioned complaint LOL) so that's a good sign though.

She kept us up half the night last night though and is cranky as all get out today, I felt inside her mouth and still no teeth so I don't know if it's teething or not. Poor little girl and poor mommy and daddy.

We went to see Santa at the mall last night and she was being complimented left right and center. Everyone thought she was just too cute and since we are definitely biased we have to agree. ;) (Crankiness and all heehee.) Here's our beautiful little princess!

I have mixed feelings today, I want to get out of the house and it might do Maddy some good but with the windchill warning it's about minus 40 right now so I'm not feeling up to braving that, or even getting fixed up due to the late night last night. I might just make a Starbucks and A&W run, so we can get out and get some lunch without actually "getting out" LOL!

My Mojo is gone

Man I don't know what's happened to me, my mojo seems to have disapeared. I sit in front of the computer and just feel like going and laying on the couch...must be the cold weather or the days getting dark earlier. I just don't even feel like scrapping or playing with my photos or even editing my video clips of Maddy, it's so weird. So instead I am blogging LOL about NOTHING heehee.

I was horribly sick this weekend, I'm thankful I am over that for sure! Whatever it was it wasn't fun! And I'm still never going back to the restaurant that I went to only hours before I got sick, DH doesn't believe me but that's how sick I was.

I have so much to do lately and just so little time, Maddy is still my velcro baby so we can only get small amounts of things done at a time, but hey, I'm not on mat leave to clean the house or cook gourmet meals, I'm on mat leave to care for her...or at least that's what I say to myself when I feel bad about never being able to get things done haha!

We have pretty much stopped b.r.e.a.s.t. f.e.e.d.i.n.g. now, when we got her to take a bottle she decided that she likes it much better and will hardly eat from me anymore. That's ok I guess, I really was not planning for her to be like walking and still doing it so hey not too bad of a run I guess. So she gets her bottles (about 6 oz) and 2 meals of rice cereal a day now which she enjoys immensly!!! On her 6 month birthday we will introduce her to sweet potatos I think. ;) I got these cool home made baby food containers called baby cubes and I can't wait to use them. The "I have to have it" magic bullet that I have never used yet will finally come in handy LOL! (I hadddd to have it one day while pregnant and shopping at Costco so I could make myself smoothies and well spent the $$$ and never made a smoothie, sounds like me doesn't it ROFL!)

I still need to take my little cutie to see Santa but I think it will be either Friday or Monday before I get to that cuz we have stuff to do lately. I have met a great groups of new mommies and we are taking our babes swimming tomorrow morning and then the next day is a get together at one of their houses so I'm excited and Maddy would be too if she could talk. ;)

Oh and it finally snowed here :( with freezing rain beforehand so the roads are pretty slick. At least for my taste. I did go out today and my traction control kept kicking in and we were still sliding sideways, not a lot but when you feel it start to slip it's still scary, especially with my precious cargo! I would rather if it has to snow have it cold enough for dry powder than hovering around freezing so we get wet snow and ice YUCK!

Ok enough rambling from me, we've covered mojo, being sick, velcro babies, the fact that I s.u.c.k. as a housewife LOL, a baby's meal plan, shopping at Costco while pregnant, fun with friends and snow.....hmmmm......think that about sums it up! LOL, how's this post for random?! Now for more randomness, I'm off to make a grilled cheese at 11 pm, I've been craving one every night for days now so I might just have to do it!

Some pics of the new highchair and the eating :)

Isn't she cute?!

Gotta love a messy eater!

She LOVES the spoon too!

She looks mad here but she's not, she's talking. She was quite the chatterbox during dinner heehee!

Love those chubby cheeks!

Fun Days!

Yay we are now proud owners of a high chair!

I know that's sooo exciting to all of you LOL but it is to me, it means my little cutie needs one now and I just love watching her eat her cereal! It's too cute!

She also waved at Daddy today and I mean actually waved not just flailing her hands around at him ROFL! When he comes home or even just at random points throughout the night he always says "Hi Everybody" and waves at her just like Dr Nick on the Simpsons and tonight when he came home she really waved at him...it was just so darn cute!!!

Well I'm off to bed, it is 12:30 after all and I'm exhausted! And it sounds like someone's up for dinner #3 now heehee! Back to work! ;)

Mads had her first food!

So we decided to introduce Maddy to rice cereal last night...we just couldn't wait and she's been trying to steal my food for quite some time during dinner so we figured she was ready. (Plus if she wasn't overdue she would have been 6 months last night.) It was so much fun. She really didn't want anything to do with it at first. It was funny, I would just hold the spoon in front of her and without even having any she would turn away and make a funny face LOL! Then I realized I never let her make friends with the spoon, duh! So I gave her the empty spoon to play with for a minute and she liked that so when I put food on it she decided she would give in and try it! :) She was so cute, by the end of the meal she was reaching for her spoon and bowl and begging for more LOL! Our little girl is growing up. She also got one bottle last night too and wouldn't let me put it down, she ate about 6 or 7 ounces after the cereal! She just kept reaching for it and when I tried to put it down she'd freak out so I gave it back to her. Little piggy, I think we're gonna have our hands full! ;)

Sorry no pics, can you believe I FORGOT?! We did get video though, although my dvd's and corresponding computer clips are in huge disarray so that's what I'm trying to work on is cataloging everything and what disk it came from and making a table of contents so we know what's where.

On a side note...why is it that my darling baby seems to not want to sleep anymore?! YIKES! ;)

Yay it's done!

So that went quickly this morning, man I could just scream at the fits blogger was giving me last night! The Blog in a Box from Zoe Pearn is adorable and so easy when blogger is actually cooperating! Ahhh now off to do things like housework and stuff that actually has to be done! ;)

Ugh Blogger Issues!

So I decided to buy a blog template and all for the holidays and install it cuz it should have been easy-peasy right?! WRONG! UGH I could cry! All the hard work I put into my own design from before is now gone and it looks worse. It's late and I'm tired so excuse the "dust" as I try to find time to fix and renovate this poor ole ugly blog now. :(

LITTLE PIGGIE!

Heehee, no I'm not talking about myself (although I could be lol) Miss Maddy ate a whopping 8 ounces of formula at lunch today...what's so special about this? The fact that we have been trying to get her to take a bottle for MONTHS now! UGH! And it didn't even matter if it was formula or breastmilk she would not take a bottle!

On my last class this past Thursday (it figures) I came home to find the bottle of formula that I had left for her...empty! NO WAY! She had gulped it down in no time flat I was told, wowzers! So we decided to switch the formula this next try to see if it was the new bottle n.i.p.p.l.e. or if it was the formula, I can now tell you it was the new n.i.p.p.l.e. She gobbled it down like there was no tomorrow this time too! YAY!!! SO apparently Miss Maddy likes the fast flow n.i.p.p.l.e.s. not the slow, not the variable, not the medium, not the medium orthodontic, not the latex vs silicone, and not sippy cup spouts (yes seriously we tried all of those ROFL!) oh and definitely not the new $15 ridiculously expensive b.o.o.b.y. shaped bottle either LOL, it has to be the fast flow for my lazy little stinker heehee. :)

Just a quick post

SO many Projects and chores and sooo little time! Just wanted to show off my (and DH's) hard work yesterday, oh and of course the most gorgeous girlies on the planet! But then again I am biased lol! ;) Here is our newest Christmas photo. I will get some more edited and uploaded soon I hope.  (Man it's hard work doing them yourself with a 5 month old LOL!)

She's sitting!!!!

So Maddy has started sitting up by herself as of yesterday! She can only do it for a few seconds at a time but that's the start and she's already getting better at it! :) She's really blossoming lately, really getting her own personality and quirks LOL! Right now she sits in her bumbo chair and swings and taps her right leg and foot (always and only the right heehee!) it's soooo cute! She is just the light of our lives!

And ya know, it's a good thing cuz she's starting to having some irritating sleep problems lol. I always say it's a good thing she's cute cuz it's not so cute to be woken up every hour on the hour or even more frequently eeeek! She's in this stage where (most nights it starts around 4 am) she starts "crying" for her sucky, she's not awake, her eyes aren't open but she's fussing and she will, can and has done this every 15/30 minutes, sometimes we get an hour long stretch, until 8:30 which is normal wake up time. ACK!!! Sleep deprivation is kicking in big time again! I miss the 8:30 to 8:30 days.

All that and we're still happy as clams, only parents would understand. ;)

We had a soaking good time tonight!

Miss Maddy has definitely outgrown her first bathtub, it just didn't even cover her with water but I couldn't seem to find one that would work and since she's still not sitting up on her own I just didn't feel safe using the big tub just yet so we finally found her another tub. We weren't sure how well it would work or if we would even like it.....Miss Maddy on the other hand LOVED it! HEEHEE! Bath time was sooo much fun tonight!

At first she didn't want to stick her legs in, she wasn't used to being covered in water heehee, but once she did she started splashing and soak us she did!

We all just had so much fun tonight, it was the great end to a cranky weekend for the little one too. :)

So hopefully I can get the video uploaded and edited soon mom and dad, you all know how long it takes to do that though heehee. But rest assured it will be done and you'll get to see and hear our squeals and her splashes soon! And in one out of every 50 to 100 shots you get a gem....here's our Maddy in a similar pose to her birth announcement 5 months later, what a big girl she is becoming!

Enjoy your evening!

Happy Halloween!

Well we had a very busy day here yesterday! Our two girls, I mean ghouls LOL both looked absolutely awesome and the weather couldn't have been better!!! It was actuaklly 22 C that day!!!! It's usually -20 C so this was a treat for sure! So here's some pics!

My 2 ghouls! Aren't they awesome!?!

Kelsey the Zombie Bride, I think she looks fabulous! And I love the smirk!

My little cutie! We couldn't find any costume in her size so I just dressed her up in Halloween stuff and colors. I made the bow in her hair and the halloween argyle leggings are actually socks that I cut up to make like those baby legwarmers that are so popular now and I even made her a halloween pacifier holder from some ribbon! She wore her 1st halloween onesie and a black tutu that is just tutu adorable! LOL! We went all out and she got sooo many compliments!

Well there is still so much for me to do as always so I will say goodbye for now!

Maddy has her first cold :(

It started last night, she was coughing in the middle of the night, about every hour or so I had to get up and put her sucky back in her mouth. I had also noticed she seemed a little sniffly yesterday (I call it snuffly like snufflupugus off Sesame Street, anywho, LOL!) she got the runny nose today and is having a hard time actually settling into a good sleep tonight. She's a bit on the fitful side of sleep right now. :( My poor little sweetie. Course being the scrapper that I am I told DH that I should take a picture of her first runny nose...he thought that was a little over the top ROFL!!! (I didn't do it btw.)

Anyway, just wanted to say we are still here, still busy and now sick. I have class tomorrow night so I am hoping that Maddy feels better. Oh and they are predicting 20 degrees celcius (68 F) for Halloween!!! WOWOWOWOWOW!!! It's always freezing here for Halloween! We've trick or treated in -25 and snow more years than I care to count so this will be nice. Maddy will be staying home though, couldn't find a costume for her at only 4 months and this gal can't sew a rectangle piece of fabric so I guess that means I won't be making her anything LOL! Kelsey is probably going to go around without us this year so I guess it will just be us manning the door and trying to keep the dogs form going completely psychotic every time there's someone at the door, oh and keeping everything quiet enough for Maddy to sleep LOL!

Well off to clean up a bit, nighttime is the only time for me to get things done so I better be going!

Tuesday, October 21, 2008

Wow time flies!

Seriously why is there not double the time in each day?! I THOUGHT I would have ample time to get things done while at home on maternity leave............ROFLMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently I completely underestimated this little new addition and just how much time she would need to be held and entertained heehee. Our little one is now 4 months old and wow has she changed!

She had her 4 months shots last week, oops actually 2 weeks ago and we are still having exploding diaper issues from that, it is always a side effect for her for about 2 to 3 weeks or so it seems. But otherwise she's doing well. ;)

She is definitely into teething again now, everything goes into her mouth and she's having a blast using some of the funky new teething toys that are out there that vibrate when you bite down on them or play music or sounds when you bite them. Seriously wayyy better than what I had for dd#1 10 years ago!

She has this new cry, and trust me if you could hear it you would laugh like I have to! It's a full-on DIVA cry and it's hilarious. She does this when she's mad so it's not like I laugh when she's hungry...this is just something she uses to express her ummm distaste for things shall we say LOL!

Well there are many things to get done here so I will sign off again. I need to do some new pics and edit some video, I really should stay up late tonight and do that...but it's already 11...so little time much to do.

Oh I almost forgot, Kels flooded the bathroom and basement the other night so yeah...towels to wash and floors drying out and bathroom vanities swelling :( sooo not fun!

Saturday, October 11, 2008

Sooooo busy!

My poor old neglected blog it seems I go in spurts! What can I say, Maddy keeps me extremely busy! She's doing really good, she will be 4 months old on Monday and is growing like a weed. She's just such a precious joy to us! She's finally been better in the evenings, it seems like from about 2 months to about 3 1/2 she would scream for a few hours a night no matter what you did short of jumping around the house with her...sooo that's what we did! Well it seems that stage has finally ended and we are breathing a sigh of relief. Although she's not without her challenging stages. Don't think I'm lying around eating bon bons here ROFL! She is in a stage where she wants to be held and be with Mommy all the time. Good yes, but bad when you need to have a shower or go to the bathroom or fold laundry etc heehee. We have some routines worked out though so I do get little bits of stuff done here and there but not as much as I'd like for sure!

Just wanted to pop in and say I'm here and still alive. Oh and in case you're wondering the weather here is turning :( it will be -35 before you know it! I don't know why that surprises me or bums me out but it does! Sigh.

Hopefully when I get my dvd disk filled up I will get the chance to burn some more of Maddy's videos. (If I just burn each little video segment I forfeit the rest of that disk so I try and use up a whole disk before formatting it and editing the video just fyi. ;)

I'll leave you with a cute word for the day (at least I think so lol, but then again I hang with a 4 month old all day ROFL!)...We call Madison: Maddy, Mads, Mad etc so when she was giving me attitude this morning we dubbed it "Madittude" I think if fits perfectly! ;)

Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all the Canadians out there!

Just had to share my newest layout!

So I just finished this layout minutes ago but I just love how it turned out so I have to share it before I head off to bed. ;) One of Maddy's first nicknames is Maddy-Moo-Who...I don't know where it came from, but it rhymed and well that's what counts ROFL! Soooooo I wanted this page to have a Dr Seuss feel in honor of her "Who" last name (as in the Whos from Whoville and the Grinched movie etc heehee). And I am LOVING how the cluster of pictures turned out! What a cutie!

Journaling reads:

Maddy-moo-who was your very first nickname from mommy. It started off in the hospital as just Maddy-moo and the next thing I knew I was calling you Maddy-moo-who just like the Dr. Seuss characters in the movie Grinched. I have no idea why, maybe it was your cute little button nose but it stuck and for the first few months of life you were my little Maddy moo who.

In other news we started Mommy and Me Bellydancing classes today, yeah I know, go ahead and laugh LOL! But it'll be fun and may help me shed some pounds heehee so I'm game!

Maddy is still being quite the handful :( she's in a stage where all she wants is for mommy to hold her and no one else which makes it quite challenging to eat, do laundry, go to the bathroom, cook, clean, pick your nose (just kidding) ROFL, well you get the picture! ;)  Oh well at least she loves me. ;) (None of this changes the fact that we are so blessed to have her in our lives, I am sooo head over heels in love with this little screamer heehee!)

Daddy had a meeting in Calgary so he went to Toys R Us and brought home a Bumbo seat I have been dying to try! Maddy has been so strong ever since she was born and is always doing little baby situps if you lay her on her back so this awesome little seat will help her actually sit up! I can't wait, I hope she likes it! I am hoping this will make picture taking easier too, or at least more versatile than the laying down photos that my hard drive is full of LOL!

Ok well it's almost midnight so I should feed cutie pie and get to bed. I need my beauty sleep after all. Wow it must be late cuz I'm really getting corny now LOL!

Sunday, September 14, 2008

Guess who laughed today?!?!

Our wonderful 3 month and one day old little princess Maddy!!! It was so cute! She did it once yesterday but left us with a..."was that really a laugh or a fluke" feeling LOL! Well today her sister was just chatting with her and out it came! We did get it on video but I have to upload and edit it, since it's a dvd video camera it takes more work to get it in an online format but it will be worth the wait!

Life has been hectic lately still. Maddy is still being a handful and not wanting to sleep very m,uch during the day. I think she's fussy half the time because she's bored. I can't blame her, being 3 months old is hard work and there's not much playing you can do at that age yet heehee. Hopefully she will outgrow this fussy stage. But we still love her, you can't be mad at a girl as cute and sweet as her heehee. I am going to get her one of those bumbo seats cuz she tries so hard to sit up on her own already and maybe that will give her the chance to actually "sit" and play with stuff, we'll see.

We are still going to Baby and Me classes at our local Health unit, it's actually a highlight in our week (LOL) to chat with the other moms. And now we started Post Natal Yoga too. I really enjoyed Pre Natal yoga so I couldn't wait for this one to start and wow is it a workout! Guess they took it easy on us preggos before (and I bet this one is still easy I've just never been in shape LOL)!

Hopefully I will have Maddy and her giggles ready for viewing soon!

Toes ;)

I have a new layout I am so in love with! I extracted my little baby's tiny feet from an awful background and the result, well I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Definitely a keeper lol!

In other news Maddy has been very cranky lately. :(

She is getting teeth that are starting to hurt her but I think there's more going on too. It's making getting anything done very hard lol. But it's all about making her feel better, whatever it takes and hopefully she'll grow out of it. She's about to start another growth spurt (3 months... can you believe it?) so that may be it too. So if you don't see or hear much from me you'll know why lol. Have a great night!

Yay my first CT!

So I am so excited to say that I am now a CT member for Scrap Orchard! Woo Hoo! If you haven't been there you need to, it's got so many great designers and it's just plain fun! So I have finally started making layouts again and it's so nice! Here are a few:

This one is using Kami of Ziggle Designs newest Kit Love Bug and it is sooo adorable!

And these are using Scrap Orchard's gorgeous September Mystery Mega Kit!

Well I better get to bed. It's the first day of school tomorrow, no I don't have to take Kelsey (she's too grown up now *cough cough*) and will be riding the bus, but she's not getting out if this house without pictures heehee! Feels sooo good to catch up a bit on the old blogaroo! Later gators!

The NICU

Well as you can tell by the heading it didn't go perfectly although we do have a happy ending so don't sweat it lol.

Here is the layout I did about our ordeal in the NICU, if you look closely you can see her IV and some of the wires in these pictures. It was important for me to get pictures of her like this because even though it wasn't ideal it was still her entrance into the world.

Journaling reads:

My pregnancy was relatively easy with you, so when signs of trouble started during labor and delivery I was shocked and scared. Your delivery was hurried, with many specialists, doctors and nurses in our room awaiting your arrival. Holding you for the first time, realizing you were ok, gave me so much relief! You were a fighter! It wasn’t until later that night, after all the visitors had left and night had fallen that I found out there were problems yet to come. During what I assumed would be a routine check the nurses told me that you had a fever that wouldn’t break and they needed to do a few routine tests. When they returned the news didn’t sound so routine, at least for me. Everything started happening in a blur and the next thing I know they are saying they need to do a spinal tap on you…my precious baby, not yet even one day old! After an agonizing wait, the paediatrician on call came in to explain the procedure to me. That’s when my face crumpled and I let the tears flow freely. The thought of my baby going through that, the thought that this was bad enough to warrant that, the thought that there was anything wrong with you was just too much to keep inside. I called your Daddy, who had gone home to be with your sister, in tears explaining what was happening and he came rushing back. We signed the consent forms and the procedure went on without us. When the procedure was done we went to see you in the NICU. The nurse said that you had done beautifully, you hadn’t even cried. You looked so funny, you had sugar all over your face. The nurses explained that they had dipped your soother in sugar because it’s a natural painkiller. It was then that we learned that you would have to stay in the NICU on IV antibiotics while we waited for the test results. Going back to my now empty room was heart wrenching. That was a feeling that never left until I took you home, I hadn’t expected to have to leave you in the NICU. It would be a long week, full of ups and downs and many tears but we were so glad to know that at the end of all of this you had received a clean bill of health all of your test results came back fine. During that first week of your life we looked forward to being able to hold you without the constant tangle of wires. Dancing around that hospital room for the first time before being discharged with you…free of wires and cords was a feeling I will never forget. Our little fighter, so strong and sweet, we love you more than words can ever express!!!!

Bad bad blogger lol

Well there is no excuse...ok actually there is it's just not that good lol. I had this whole long post written out ages ago about my baby's birth story...it got lost in cyberspace somewhere and I just haven't been able to blog because I hadn't blogged the birth story yet. I'm over that now though lol. I will give you a short recap and then we can get on with blogging ok? (Not like anyone's reading anyway lol!)

Our baby girl is here, her name is Madison Joy and she entered the world at 8:44 am June 13th weighing 8 pounds and 1.4 ounces. We were due to be induced that same morning so she decided to wait until she got the eviction notice before leaving lol. The labor was only about 13 hours (much better than my first dd at 26!) and after 6 hours I got an epidural. Can I just say WOW!!! What a difference.

Unfortunately we had complications during the delivery. Her heartrate was going up and down and finally it stayed down and would not come back up and when they broke my water they also found out that she had passed meconium. So we had to hurry things a bit. I was only 8 to 9 cms when they told me I had to start pushing. The rooms was full of specialists and thankfully with the assistance of the doctors, nurses and specialists and the vacuum she was born. It felt like forever before we heard her cry but she finally did and all was well for the moment.

The rest of the story is part of a layout I did which I will post next. For now here is our little Angel Madison Joy:

Still Nothing :(

So this baby girl is still in hiding, due dates (yes plural) have come and gone and yet no real sign of her even thinking about making her arrival. We have an induction date set for this Friday but only with the gel so we shall see what happens. I have a sneaky suspicion that she is just gonna hold on till they make her come out, hopefully that will be no later than this Friday.

I REALLY hope this is a sign!

So my dad and stepmom should be arriving soon and well it's the weekend which all means cleaning time. We really didn't have too much to do and so I started about 8:00 this morning...well it took on a life of its own LOL! I even spent over an hour and a half "detailing" the couches. (We aren't pigs but we do have 2 pugs and if you've ever known pugs you know they are the WORST shedders in the animal kingdom!) All the dog hair was bugging me so it didn't make sense to vacuum the floors and dust when under the couches was lurking the biggest hairiest monsters you could ever imagine. So yay, I am so happy sitting there knowing they are clean under and in between as well as on the top surface. (Thankfully they are leather but someone should really invent a better backing that does not trap pet hair, I resorted to picking at it like pills on a sweater...and no not pills like aspirin LOL.)

The house has been vacuumed, dusted, de-hairy-fied, and on and on and so has the basement (thanks to DH, he was setting up a makeshift room for my parents with tarps and a bed etc and it looks phenomenal! Thanks hun!) Weeds were pulled, my office was organized, the fridge and freezer got cleaned out and the garborator got a giant workout from all of the food that needed to just go away. DD went through all of her shoes in the garage too, we were a busy clan all day. Now it's 3:30 and we have to get ready for family dinner so unfortunately that means my paper scrapbooking cabinet will have to be organized tomorrow. ;)

Sooooooooooo all of that just to tell you I think baby will be coming soon, at least I hope. Although my back hurts now and I am sort of tired, maybe cleaning wasn't such a good idea. Tomorrow will probably be more of the same and getting some flowers for the front porch and walkway, yippee! I love to buy them and plant them but I hate to water them. Thankfully DD will be home with baby and I all this summer (yay no more work for 7 months!) so she will be in charge of watering them so I can have the pleasure of buying them and looking at them ROFL!

Okay better get going and clean up and hopefully stop by Starbucks for an Iced Decaf Vanilla lattee before dinner!!!! YUM! Hopefully there will be a baby post coming sooooooon!

So here I am

Still no baby lol, although today was my last day of work for 7 whole months yippee! It still feels surreal. Had a Dr appt today and no news, everything is going fine. Baby has a strong heartbeat and my blood pressure is perfect so everything is a-ok. I have another appt. for next Thursday the 5th and she says that if I haven't gone into labor by then we will start discussing induction! ACK! The day they said they would induce is my other dd's birthday and I am NOT happy about that but they refuse to induce a few days before that so we just have to get this baby movin' so we don't have to get to that point. ;)

The other day at Walmart one of the cashiers asked if I was having twins, this shocked me as I really honestly didn't think I had gotten THAT big, but when I had dh take pictures of me tonight I realized...I am pretty close to being THAT big ROFL! So without further adeu (is that how you spell it?) here are baby and me (baby if course is still in that bulgy belly lol).

Well that's enough for tonight. I'm off to buy dd's birthday present so hopefully that can be checked off my list so I don't have to worry about that during labor. I hope baby arrives SOON!!! I am scared, excited, tired, done with pregnancy, worried, happy and every emotion you can think of all in one right now. Oh and I better do some yoga tonight and cleaning tomorrow ;) maybe that will kick start things!

Still here

Just thought I'd update...I'm still here nothing new. Tomorrow is my last day of work though. :) Hopefully this girl comes soon!

Still here

Well what can I say I'm still here, still pregnant and very much uncomfortable! I have no ankles anymore at all....period, they are just gone lol.  My feet seriously look like Flintstone feet, and not Wilma's either, I am talking full on Fred here...big and square and huge!

Other than that I'm ok. Nothing new at the Dr so no news is good news, althoug I do start my 1 week visits now. I have 2 more weeks of work so the countdown has begun and we still haven't decided on a name haha.

This weekend is a long weekend and I am looking forward to my 4 days off! YIPPEE! I sure need them! I also get to go and have my hair colored tomorrow yay!!! I need that too!

Here's to hoping this weekend is relaxing. It's supposed to be HOT like 26 or 27 celcius so thankfully I bought a pair of maternity shorts just in case hot weather came before the baby lol.

Anyway, just thought I'd say I'm still here. ;) Have a great weekend!

Just 2 quick pictures :)

So I was fixing up some of the baby shower pictures and thought I would share the 2 I have so far.

Here is me, notice the big belly that is pushing/squishing other things...ahem upwards lol, especially in the middle of the top of the tummy. That's where her little b.u.m. is I think. I sooooo have no more room, I told you so! This was back about 3 weeks ago too! I will try and get a nice one of me tomorrow either by myself or DH.

And here's one of Kelsey and I. She's growing sooooo fast!

I used come actions I got for free (yes free and they rock!) from Phaunt Actions! The ones I used on these was the "Softy Bleachy" and I think I found my new fav photo action!!!

Ok I am hoping to post more pictures tomorrow, I need to take pics of the nursery bedding I got, the pictures on the website and catalog just don't do it justice...I am IN LOVE! I am so happy I got that one and oh...guess what's making it's way to my doorstep via good old fashioned ebay? This GORGEOUS diaper bag! I can't wait for it to arrive!

Ok so that was 3 pictures not 2 oh well. ;) See ya soon!

Just a quick post

SO thing are super busy round here today and all this weekend really. Right now we are under a blizzard warning and have already gotten at least 20 cm of snow with another 10 - 30 expected....yeah....nice! The firepit is completely buried in the back yard and well it's just not very nice given that it's almost the end April for goodness sake! I mean 1 week ago it was 27 degrees celcius and just utterly gorgeous weather!!! Now it's -18 with the windchill!!! UGH! Hopefully this is the last blast so to speak!

At least we made it to Calgary for our 3D ultrasound on Thursday before the storm came on Saturday so we got some great stuff done. First off we went to Babies R Us and bought a playpen, it's really nice and we got a great deal! Here it is:

Pretty huh?

And I thought I'd show you the swing that the In Laws got us

Very cute! Both of these are all set up and ready to go!! YIPPEE!!!!!

Oh and my bedding set came in and it is wayyy more gorgeous in person I am so in love with it!

Now on to the best part of the post! ;) Baby was literally jumping around in there and snuggled up close to the placenta again like last time so we really did have a hard time getting many great pics but we did get to see her and that's all that counts! So here is her sweet little face!

Can you believe it?! It's just soooo cool what they can do...I can't believe we get to see her little face before she's born!!!! And as of today I'm 34 weeks...only 6 weeks to go! WOW!

Well I have got to run soooo much to do before the week starts, laundry, cleaning, supper, homework and on and on. Poor DH is out there trying to shovel the snow right now...chili for dinner should help warm him up. ;)

On Our Way

No not to the hospital lol, but for our second 3D ultrasound tomorrow, YIPPEE!!! I can't wait to see this little girl. From what we saw in their books last time we were there at this stage in the pregnancy they look very similar to pictures that were taken of them after they are born so that will be sooo cool to see her little face early!

Of course it's a 6 hour round trip drive but hey it's so worth it. While we are there we will also make quick pit stops at Thyme Maternity and Toys R Us. I think we'll buy a playard tomorrow, with the new puppy we think it will be necessary to have somewhere to put her down (other than her crib) where she can't get accidentally licked to death or sat on lol.

Oh and can I tell you how sweet my hubby is?! We had a family shower that his parents put on for us this past weekend (more details and pictures to come) and he bought me the comforter set I had been eyeing...it should be here in a few days I think. I was so surprised! What a sweetie! ;) We also got lots of cute clothes and stuffies and even a swing! So it was a great day! Like I said I'll post pics and stuff later.

Ok off to pack up DVDs, games, snacks, etc for the drive tomorrow. :)

It's getting to be uncomfy round here lol

Oh my, I think I have run out of room in my belly, haha! I am down to only a finger's width left between me and the steering wheel...guess that means I will either have to buy some serious platform shoes or become a hermit! ACK! With short legs and a huge belly that's what happens heehee. And now the dietician I have to see keeps telling me to eat more!?! UGH! I am TRYING, lol...I am seriously tired of eating for now. And can I tell you how hard yoga is with short legs and a big belly? Last class I was doing a pose and holding on to the chair to save my life or else I would fall over! The instructor came over and said yeah that's clearly not good with short legs, try it this way. ROFL I was close to going down like the titanic! Ahhhh, it will all be worth it though in just a few short months, less than 2  already. :)

We have another 3D ultrasound booked for next Thursday, yay I can't wait! (Although I am not exactly looking forward to another 6 hour trip.) Not only do I get to have more new pics of this little soccer player/wrestler in here (she is seriously beating me up daily!) but I can do some shopping at Babies R Us too and Thyme Maternity, yay! I can't wait! I really hope we can see her more clearly than last time, I want to see her sweet little face again!

I got another layout done, I am not super duper happy with it but I think it's sweet and certainly didn't want to trash it...of course it's of the little sweetie that's turning me black and blue on the inside heehee so how could I not love it?! Credits can be seen here.

And just for my dad who keep bugging me lol, here is me on Easter...I have grown already since then too!  As you can tell I am not really a fan of pictures of myself. (Plus I think I need to educate DH on the most "flattering" ahem of angles lol.) ;)

Well I guess that's it for now. Wish me luck shopping for platform shoes! ;)

So busy

Well what can I say but life is busy for us right now. Prenatal classes are almost over (yay) and I just started prenatal yoga since our stupid hospital doesn't give epidurals GRRRRRRRRR!!! I am hoping it will help with the pain but I am now thinking I should have started earlier in my pregnancy.

Yoga really is hard work wow, but what I like is it's hard work combined with some nice relaxation so it seems worthwhile to get to the end where you relax, lol.

The furniture is all set up, woo hoo and I can't wait to start decorating. I am still trying to decide on a bedding set (which seem to be hard to come by for some stupid reason).

In other news, we got a puppy. Yes I know....why? Well because HAHAHAHA!!! She really is a freaky ugly little thing, she always has a surprised look on her face and her tongue is always sticking out but hey she needed us and we couldn't help but take her. ;) Here is our new 5 month old Pug to add to our family named Roxy (PS - she actually photographs well, so imagine her a little uglier and funnier looking than the picture...think more of a gremlin ROFL!!!)

She really is a LOT of work, I have forgotten what it's like to not have a pug couch potato like our 4 year old pug Nelly. She is slowly getting into the swing of things and the girls are FINALLY warming up to eachother (although I am sure Nelly would still rather be an only dog at this stage of Roxy's puppyhood heehee.) She is definitely growing on us and now I actually find myself telling her she's cute. ;)

So all is well but definitely busy around here with getting ready for baby and trying to train a new puppy and of course Kelsey and all of her stuff too. Hope everyone is doing well!

Yay the furniture has arrived!

I am so excited we got our nursery furniture last night! YIPPEE!!! We ordered the Lennox Storkcraft line and go it in cherry, wanna see?

Don't mind the slightly different colors these pictures are all I could find on the internet.

I am SOOOOO excited! The next purchase will be the swing and the bedding set. For the bedding I am having a heck of a time finding anything girly. But I really like this one from Sears called Lady Bug so I think that will be the one. (Once I saw this I really wanted a black crib but couldn't find one anywhere, I hope this will look nice with cherry colored wood.)

Also the swing I am thinking about is the Starlight Papasan or the Butterfly Papasan but I can't find the Butterfly one again, they must be sold out for now. But here's a picture of the starlight one

That's pretty much all for the big stuff. Of course I have been buying clothing and blankets and stuff every weekend...I can't seem to go home without at least one outfit. Heehee. But she's starting out with nothing so she has to have clothes...right? ;)

Well I just had to share my new stuff, it makes me so happy to know we have it and I can't wait to get it all set up and have her room all done! (I am sure that will still be a while though.)

Hope everyone is doing well!

So much to share!

SO the latest and greatest news is that our 3D/4D ultrasound went really well! It was SOOOOOOO worth the trip and money!!! It was absolutely amazing to be able to watch baby moving around in there, yawning and stretching and kicking, absolutely amazing!

The trip was very fast, we literally ate breakfast and lunch in the car heehee. On the bright side I did manage to get some maternity clothes, YAY! And one of the best purchases was the stroller/car seat travel system that was on sale at Toys R Us for $100 off! Can you beat a sale like that?! So here is the travel system we bought, I love the colors but it's hard to see them in the picture but they are very soft and pretty. And the one hand gravity fold is an awesome feature I am sure I will be loving!

DH bought me the coolest photo tower at Costco, it is brown leather and so cool. It came with 12 albums on 4 shelves (behind a door) and 3 drawers. On the front of the door and the drawers are places to put your pictures! I wanted this so bad and so he surprised me with it as an early Valentines day present. So I have been making layouts to go into the front slots (5 x 7 size) and here is my latest...My Heart Belongs To You...

credits can be seen here.

Now on to the BIGGEST AND BEST news! Hee hee I had to drag it out didn't I, LOL! May I present to you Our Little Girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She looks so precious in this picture, with her little hand up by her face, those little fingers...well all of it just makes my heart melt! I am in awe of the miracle of life!!! Utterly breathtaking!!!!! We can't wait to meet her!!!!!

A Layout and an Update!

Wow I cannot believe I actually did a layout! I am not 100% happy with it but it's pretty much complete and pretty much what I envisioned. I cannot believe how it came about, I logged into DST one night and saw a layout I loved on the front page and actually went and bought the kit they used right then and there, it was my first time ever doing that LOL! And I LOVE it, for my pregnancy pics and baby pics it will be perfect! So here is my layout...Waiting in the Wings...

I used both pink and blue as we still do not know if it's a boy or girl in my ever expanding belly. ;) For credits see here.

We are also going to get our 3D/4D ultrasound THIS FRIDAY!!!! I CANNOT wait!!! It means a 6 hour drive round-trip but that's ok...we can do some shopping too ;) heehee. Maybe since I am pregnant and will be "oh so exhausted" from the trip etc I can lay down in the back of the van and watch a movie with dd, that would be fun! Heehee.

Well that's it, just wanted to share my layout cuz it's rare when I get one done and most of all I wanted to share the exciting news of the next ultrasound. This time we better find out what this bean actually is, LOL! ;)

Have a great night y'all!
