Long time no blog

Well I figured I'd update this poor neglected blog for my parents ;) Not much new right now, I am so excited that it is almost Christmas but wishing I had some vacation time booked to enjoy it. :(

Pregnancy is going along well, I am 15 weeks or so right now and still sick as a dog most days. The morning sickness pills only help a bit and they still knock me out so I only take them at night to take the edge off in the mornings. I have a Dr appointment tomorrow but it will just be routine, nothing too exciting since we have already heard the heart beat for the first time. Don't get me wrong, hearing it again will still be exciting just not new lol.

I am anxiously awaiting the ultrasound on January 11th...I can't wait to see this baby and hopefully find out if we'll be having a little boy or girl! ;) I HAVE to know so that I can FINALLY start shopping and decorating correctly, lol. Nothing gender neutral for this momma-to-be lol!

We are also wanting to get a 4 D ultrasound done but that has to be done 3 hours away from here so we will be waiting until around 30 weeks or so like our Dr. recommended.

And can I just vent about Maternity shops?! We have ONE, yes ONE in this city of ours and they hardly have anything! UGH! I have resorted to wearing DH's shirts for now but a girl wants to feel pretty sometimes. (I still look in the mirror every day and wonder when am I going to start glowing?! Between all the skin issues and sick feelings and hair needing to be colored I feel sooooo unattractive lol.) The nearest decent maternity store is 2 hours away and well it's not that exciting either so who knows what this lady will be wearing in the near future hahahaha!

I DID find out that Lane Bryant has maternity and SHIPS TO CANADA! Oh those lovely 3 words lol, it seems like no one ships to Canada so you can bet I will be ordering up a storm in the next few days heehee. ;)

Well I will update the next time we have something exciting to share, otherwise at least you know I am here (times 2 lol) and still kickin!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Shakespearian Angst lol

O Computer, New Computer! wherefore art thou New Computer?

10 Days cannot come soon enough for this girl! LOL! Still no word on my new computer but I am calling tomorrow to see where it's at, as it should be done soon! I can't wait! Besides designing I truly need to scrap, when I am frustrated with designing or just anything I find I feel better when I am scrapping which is something I am not able to really do right now. This computer slows down more and more day by day and PS freezes when I try and attempt the simplest things. So here I sit again.....

O Computer, New Computer! wherefore art thou New Computer?

New kit! :)

I FINALLY have a new kit in my store, heehee. I have been working on this one for a while now but just never had the time for the finishing touches. I am so excited it's finally done! :)

It's called Littlest Cowgirl and is inspired by pictures I have of my DD learning to ride her Grandfather's horse. I hope you all like it! Take a look! It's in my Digital Candy store now!

Hope everyone is having a great week! Happy almost thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends and relatives! I can't wait for turkey day! There just may be a sale to commemorate the holiday at Digital Candy so stay tuned for more details! ;)

Bad blogger AGAIN! *blush*

Well what can I say? I've been so bad about blogging lately, lol. I have been so busy with site stuff that I really haven't had the chance.

So what's new here? Still working on a few cool new projects and the biggest and best news is that I just ordered a new computer! YAY!

This bad boy will have 4 MB of Ram a Dual Core Processor and 2 - 250 GB Hard drives!! WOO HOO!!! I cannot wait to get it. Photoshop is soooo slow on the computer I have now and it is so painful to try and get anything done so I decided to throw caution to the wind and go for a new one. :) Of course the decision took me a while and  my head was spinning from all of the choices but it's ordered now and I couldn't be happier!

The Designer's at Digital Candy have been busy putting together the new October Mega kit that will be available soon and don't forget that you can still get the totally cool September Fall themed mega kit for free when you spend $10 or more in our candy store.  :)

And I just want to say a Happy Belated Birthday to my wonderful Dad, I love you and miss you LOTS!!!!!!! XOXOXOX

1st Day of School!

Woo Hoo...humming...it's the most wonderful time...of the year, LOL! DD went back to school today and she had a blast! She is very happy with the teacher and class that she has (although a few friends are in the other class) but overall it was a great day for her and I am so happy!

The day didn't start off that well though, lol. We were running wayyy behind and to top that all off there was the "shoelace incident". Her shoes are cute but she can never keep them tied and so we buy her those curly laces that was she can just slip her shoes on and off....well I waited till the last minute to put these in her shoes (you have to do it when the shoes are on their feet) and the lace ends were too big for the holes! ACK!!! So there was me and a pair of pliers pulling pushing and yanking on poor DD's feet trying to get these shoelaces to go in. Thankfully we did but boy was it ever a struggle. I am sure it would have been hilarious for anyone watching us though, rofl!

So picture time was a quick few snaps and off we went! Phew! Unfortunately the pics aren't the best but hey they still capture her 1st day and that's what matters to me so here's just a few for you to take a look.

Unfortunately she mixed and matched her new clothes and so this was not an actual outfit, but at her age she is definitely trying to be independent  and emulate starts like Hannah Montana and such so hey let her wear what she wants as long as it's decent, lol! The other day she cut the legs off her old Halloween purple and black (witch) stockings and was wearing them as...I don't know what to call them...leg warmers for your arm! ROFL ROFL ROFL!!!  This is definitely better than that ;) Hope you all had a FAB day!

Bad Blogger LOL

Well it seems like ages since I've blogged! I've just been sooo busy with the site stuff and blogging falls by the wayside I guess. I want to show you all my latest layout. Ok it's a quick page...the FIRST time I've used a quick page but the minute I saw it I KNEW this was perfect for the pics I wanted to scrap. The Quick Page is Halloween Treat QP and was designed by Angela Niehaus and is available in her Digital Candy Store. And it ROCKS!!! Check it out!

I love these photos of DD and me, it was soo much fun!

Speaking of DD she starts school tomorrow, yippee!!! She is going into 4th grade *sniff* my how time flies!  I am taking the morning off to take her straight to school instead of our usual routine and I can't wait to do her hair and nails and get her all prettied up for her awesome 1st day of 4th grade!

So much to do, so little time so I will sign off for now!

Well my newest and most favorite kit yet Chili Pepper Splash was used by 2 talented and wonderful ladies! The first is Janeal and she is one the awesome girls I am honored to have on my CT. WOW THANKS GIRLS!! You really know how to make a designers day when you scrap such beautiful pages!!!

All about my Family

So the post before this one explains why I haven't been around a lot lately. My wonderful Grandmother passed away recently and we drove out to be with my family and attend the funeral. So I wanted to share some pics of my family, my brother and his kids and my dad and his wife and my Grandma of course. So here we go.
I lived with My Grandma and Grandpa for all of my summers and breaks from school to work in their beauty salon from about 11 to 16 years old. I treasure those memories as both of them are gone now. As always happens family spreads across the country and it becomes hard to be able to see eachother as often as you should. These pictures of my DD and Grandma were taken the last time I saw her which was 5 long years ago. I now treasure these pictures even more than before, and only wish I had some newer ones with her to show. Below are 3 pictures of DD and my Beloved Grandmother.

Pictures of my Brother and his Lovely Family:

And a picture of us:

A picture of my Uncle Teddy and me. I LOVE THIS PICTURE and will treasure it always!!! He is so special and such a sweet sweet gentle soul, there's no one like him in the world!

My Grandmother left each of her granddaughters one of her rings and I am so happy about this, I will wear mine with so much pride and love knowing that I always have some of her with me. Mine is in getting sized and cleaned and having the claws replaced right now and I can't wait to get it back! The picture below is mine and my cousin Danielle's hands. The blue ring is mine and the brown is Danielle's. My first heirloom and it is more special than you can know.

Speaking of my cousin Danielle, I didn't even recognize her at first, how's that for being gone too long? LOL! Here we are at dinner together:

And here's a picture of my brother and I at dinner, wow do we ever look alike!!!

And this one's especially for my dad, lol, he was wondering when there would be some pics of him on my blog. So here are my brother and I with my dad at dinner...wow we all look so alike!!!

And a picture of my Dad and Stepmom and DD:

I am so glad I got to see my family again, it's so hard when you live what seems like so far way. It's easy to look at these photos and forget why I was there in the first place, but now it's all coming back. I don't think it will ever stop hurting and the tears have come again as I remember so I will sign off for now. But I hope that you enjoyed meeting my family as they are so special to me. Love you all!!!!

Sorry I've been MIA

We have had a rough 3 weeks in my family. We were on vacation when DH learned that his Grandmother had passed away so we hopped in our car to get there and help out.

Only a few days after getting back we learned that my Grandmother was gravely ill and the next day she passed away too. So we were away again for quite the long road trip. We just got back last night. We had been planning on getting out to see my Grandmother in September...how things can change in the blink of an eye. I miss her terribly and am so saddened I didn't get that one last trip in to see her as I so desperately wanted. Please, if you are putting off that last trip, spare no expense and get there, regrets are hard to live with!!!

I hope to be back at all of this real soon. Until then take care and let everyone you love know that you love them; take the time it takes to show them and spare no time or expense for that one last visit, it could mean the world to you in the future!!! Now go hug and kiss your family...call your far off relatives...because life is so short!

I love you forever Grandma!!! May your days be filled with happiness in Heaven!!! Till we meet again...

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone,

Happy Canada Day! I LOVE Canada day! Today we are going to the local fesitivities as one of our local parks. It will be so much fun! And tonight...fireworks!!! YIPPEE!

Since I have been spending wayyyy to much time on the computer I spent the afternoon with DH shopping and making a cool fountain for our deck. He had seen this one at a great garden store, it had a bamboo spigot and what looked like a steel garden pot with a few water plants in it. Soooo yesterday we went to take a look, we ended up buying the spigot but wanted to shop around for a pot that matched better than a steel one. We found exactly what we wanted at Home Depot! Of course since there were other sizes I had to buy them just so that if we put flowers out on the deck next summer the pots would match (ROFL yeah I'm like that). Well we got it all home and set it up, looked awesome! So then we decided we needed some plants to go with it, to match the pots I had bought ahead of time, lol. So off we went back to Home Depot to get some more. Becuase of the look of the fountain I didn't want flowers or anything that wouldn't "match" and that would take away form the look so we bought tropical house plants (yes houseplants outside and I even have garden decorations inside but that's a different story, lol). And I am LOVIN how it all turned out!

Now we need the new patio furniture that we have been eyeing...next year though. LOL! So wanna see pictures? I warn you it is a simple little arrangement but it reflects my taste and what I love to see in and around my home. So here are a few pictures. ;)

This is my little tropical corner in the prairies! I love it and the sound it makes is so relaxing! And those pots when I found them were so perfect and matched the bamboo of the spigot much better than a steel one! Now you can see why I stocked up, lol!
Well I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend and to all my fellow Canadians, HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!

SALE SALE SALE!!!

Can you tell I'm excited?!LOL! Ok so I have some awesome news to tell you all but I can't ... not yet...but don't fret I will soon!!! And in honor of July 1st for Canadians and July 4th for Americans Digital Candy is having a HUGE WEEK LONG SALE!!!!!! You gotta check it out! I have a new kit just for Canadians coming out especially for this, so take a peek for it on Saturday June 30th when the sale starts (or hey, go there now and look at the rest of my designs and make your list and check it twice for the upcoming sale, lol).

Digital Candy is going so well! There are so many cool new members and everyone is really so sweet! So if you don't have a digi-home or just need a second or third home you have to get over there! There is so much help for everyone no matter what their skill level and everyone is always there to lend a helping hand with anyone's questions (includin me) so it's wayyy cool! And the gallery is rockin! So check it out and don't forget to pop back there for the week long sale!

In other non-digi news I went for my tests yesterday. Can I just say that there is NO WAY Barium is a good thing to drink! ROFL! It was so heavy and so gross that I was this close to losing it! Good thing you can't eat or even drink before hand...now I know the real reason! Hopefully I will have the results back soon and can get everything all fixed up.

Today is Kelsey's last day of school. Can I say I feel like such a cool mom...I bought her a disposable camera (I wouldn't give her my camera...are you crazy?! LOL!) to take with her on her last day so she can take shots of all her friends and stuff and then of course...scrap. She got a Bratz scrapping kit for her birthday so these shots will be perfect. She loves to scrap and draw, that's my girl! :)

Well I hope everyone has a great weekend! I know I will, today is my last day before having 2 weeks holidays from my IRL job and I can't wait!!!!! YAY more scrapping and designing time! Woo-hoo! Alright everyone, enjoy your weekend and your families!

New products!!!

Well I have finished the first 2 in my new line of Punished products, lol! I love that name, rofl! They are items that have been more than grunged up and more than distressed they have been punished. So the first 2 are primary papers packs; Punished Plaid and Punished Polka Dot. I love how they turned out and I am sooo into primary bright colors right now. Must be because it's summer! I think I also forgot to share my Primary Funk Doodle style funky flowers, they go really well with these papers, gee is it too late to change their name? Naw I like primary funk, lol. (I actually name all my papers but I don't get to actually name them like that in the zips or else no one would know what's what, lol, little known tidbit, rofl.)
So here they are:

So it's the start of another week, ugh I hate Mondays if they are not holidays! ROFL! BUT this is my last week of work before a 2 week holiday so I can handle that I guess. I can't wait to sleep in and be lazy!!!

So what else is new? Not much, just wanted to share with you my new products which of course can be found at both of my stores Digital Candy & The Digiscrapshak. Later chickies!

Just Chattin'

Well, this week has flown by! I am so glad it's Friday, I can't wait for a relaxing weekend...do those exist? LOL! Not much planned for us. I have testing to do at the Dr's on Wednesday. I am so sick of avoiding raw vegetables and fruits because of the horrific pain I get in my stomach so I finally asked for them to figure it out instead of just avoiding those foods all together. It makes it so hard to lose weight, plus I miss my salad! Within the past week another issue has come up, I keep feeling full as soon as I start eating and I have to force myself to eat even just a little bit. UGH! I hope they figure this out, although I could stand to lose a few pounds so this might actually be a good thing, lol! I think I've figured it out though, I stumbled across something on the internet after adding this other issue and it sounds totally like what could be happening. Although DH says I'm a hypochondriac and I am no Dr. so I could be wayyy off! ROFL! I guess we will have to wait and see.

I am also totally sick of my hair! It's in between curly and straight and I have to curl or straighten it to leave the house and look somewhat decent. So I am thinking either a perm or straighten it...still unsure though. I am so scared I will look like a poodle or have my hair move in just one solid chunk. I used to have beautiful natural curly hair and worked in a beauty salon, people would come in and say they wanted their perm to look just like my hair, not anymore, where we live now the air is so dry that I can't get it curly to save my life. It's getting pretty long and I don't want to cut it but it's in my way all the time and I HATE it when it's windy (which here is all the time) it tickles my nose and cheeks when it blows around, I know weirdo, lol! So I am going to call my hairdresser and see what she says and hopefully get something done this weekend. (Although I have been saying this since last week, I am SUCH a procrastinator!) I think it also has to do with getting old, it's getting thinner than it used to be and my oh my I have a few gray hairs!!! Aaak!

Vacation is coming up in 1 week, by this time next week I will be on my first day of vacation! YAY! NO work!!! Ok, digi work but that's fun for me ;) I hope to get alot done while I am off but if I don't have projects started and I do get time off I can't seem to start something new, I need to be in the middle of creativeness (not a word I know) to be able to jump back in and get it done. We don't really have any plans, we spent our vacation $$$ going to Vegas a few months ago so we will probably end of just doing day trips around home. The ONE thing I do want to do is go to the zoo. I have only been one time before and was so sick I could not enjoy it so I am excited for that.

Oh I forgot to tell you that dd lost ANOTHER tooth this week! My goodness she is gonna be toothless soon. I think that's 4 in 2 weeks! WOW! So now that I have mentioned my baby can I say it saddens me that she just turned 9?! She is not my baby anymore, and she's my only one, pout!

I just finished reading Dean Koontz's new book The Good Guy, it was good but didn't capture me like some others have. And right now I am reading an old one of his called Night Chills, I am only a little way in and this one's not capturing my attention either. Hmmm....maybe it's my mood lately.

Anyway, that's about it to be caught up since last time I blogged. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!! Later gators!

Thunderstorms and a Digital Candy FREE Megakit and Goodie Bag!!! :)

This is a quote from Environment Canada for a Severe thunderstorm watch for our area tonight...UGH!!!

"Thunderstorms with Nickel size hail, heavy rain and funnel clouds have been reported. Conditions are favourable for the development of funnel clouds or weak tornadoes. These types of funnel clouds form out of large cumulus clouds or very weak thunderstorms and normally do not have the energy to reach the ground. However one or two of these funnels may briefly touch down and can become destructive over a very small area. Treat all funnel clouds and tornadoes seriously and avoid when possible. Should one develop overhead take shelter until it dissipates. Remember these funnel clouds will normally appear with little or no warning."

Thanks! Just what we needed! Although I have to say that I checked the radar online and it looks like it will miss us. Yeah...I'm THAT kind of gal! When the summer heats up here we get the chance of tornadoes. Not at least we don't live in tornado alley (I don't know HOW you gals do it that do!) but it still TOTALLY freaks me out! In the summer you can find me glued to the weather channel many nights if there is any signs of bad weather. I like to say that I will be the one to survive if anything does happen, but the truth is I *may* just be a bit weird, lol! BUT since I have had the opportunity to see a tornado first hand I think I have a right to be this way, lol. Ok, granted the one I saw was not big but a neighboring town was leveled by one many moons ago and they DO happen around here so I let myself be paranoid. This is probably something you will see much this summer on this little weather freak's blog, lol! So speaking of the one I saw...wanna see it?

LOL I know pretty small but a tornado nonetheless. YIKES! Here's to hoping everyone around these parts stays safe tonight, but since these aren't your typical funnel clouds it shouldn't be too much of a worry. I don't usually worry unless it's about 90 some degrees and then I worry!

Ok, well i guess that's about enough blabbering from this dork! Hope you all had a great day!

New Header = New Look + the tooth fairy...again?

So How do you all like my new header?! I am lovin it! It's my first try at any doodle-y and I am lovin it! BTW that is my little pug Nelly in there too (besides the obvious DD and DH). I had so much fun doing this! I SHOULD have been creating but ya know, it was nice to create with and not just design, although I did make everything especially for this header...ok almost everything special for this lol.

So you are NOT gonna believe who is visiting my house AGAIN tonight?! THE TOOTH FAIRY!!! That is 3 times for the same kid in only one week!!! I am going broke ROFL! When I went to pick her up from school today she was grinning and so I asked her if she had lost another tooth again and she said yup. We laughed all the way home and told her she better not lose anymore of she won't have any left to chew with! LOL! Ironically she has a dentist appt in 2 days...maybe she's losing them all so she won't haev to go. OR knowing Kelsey she is prying them out of her mouth with plyers to get moe $$$ from the tooth fairy! ROFLMBO!!! I wonder if I'll wake her up tonight, probably! I'm no graceful dancer that's for sure!

Well not much to say but just wanted to show you all my new look. Hopefully you have all seen my new Indexed Memories frames which I used in the new header. They are soo cool if I do say so myself and I am so excited to bring them to digi.

Well I'm off...wish me luck as the tooth fairy tonight...AGAIN!!!

NEW NEW NEW Item! I'm so proud!

Wow, I have sooo much to blog about but I'll be selfish and start with my own stuff, tee-hee ;)
I have a NEW ITEM! Yes, completely new to the digi-world and I am so proud! I call them Indexed Memories. Do you remember a few years back when you would use Advantix film? When you would get it developed it would come with a photo index print...well here it is the Digi-Way!

And here is a layout that I made especially for this! My daughter's 6th birthday getting a new bike. Isn't the look on her face in the last picture priceless!?! LOL, what a cutie!

You can find this awesome new item in both of my stores (links are on the right side of blog).

Okay so more news! The Digiscrapshak is having a birthday bash in honor of our awesome owner Lori's birthday and the entire store is 40% off and there are awesome birthday boxes from almost every designer for only $2.00!!! You HAVE to check this one out!!! Have you ever tried the Photoblast actions from the Shak? Right now they are 15% off for the birthday bash. They are so rockin! I am slowly amassing a ton of those and use them on every layout I create! These are a MUST have. My favs are the color wash and the vivid color and oh of course the all time favorite beauty glow action!

Wow, that was alot of digi fun! In other news (lol) I booked dd's b-day party, she will be swimming with about 15 of her closest friends. I am sooo not looking forward to that part. The parties are always soo hectic and I come away feeling tired, drained and with such a headache I can't even function for the rest of the day. I can't believe my one and only baby is turning 9, pout, she's growing up so fast!

I almost got caught last night when the tooth fairy paid her second visit. DD woke up and I was standing on the ladder to her loft bed and had just made the swap (humming the james bond theme music here) when she sat up!!! I told her that I was just checking to make sure she had set her alarm since she forgot the day before. She was so out of it she didn't even remember so that's good.

Wow, I am exhausted! It's almost midnight here and I am blogging?! ROFL! What a computer geek Digi has turned me into, ha ha! Well my eyes are barely hangin on after these last few late nights! So until later chicks!

Double the Pleasure, Double the Money?

So Kelsey lost a tooth yesterday at school. She had been saying some were loose but i didn't know they still lost teeth at her age (almost 9). She was so excited when I picked her up, they had even put it in a little treasure chest called a tooth keeper for her. Awww how cute! So the tooth fairy officially payed (get it?!) her a visit last night. Well this morning while she was eating breakfast ANOTHER tooth came out!! So the tooth fairy will be paying yet another visit tonight, 2 visits in 2 days. We should leave a note saying that she only pays out once a week, ha, ha!

Still trying to decide on what to do for her birthday party, but I think it will be swimming.

I did some layouts last night, I know, a rarity! These are quickpages that will be being given as a surprise at Digital Candy. I can't tell you much...but if you haven't registered or re-registered then you should do so as soon as possible, wink, wink. Check them out below. I used my Bloomin Crabapple kit.

Kelsey's First Day of Grade 3. She's such a Diva and you cannot catch her not posing!

My mom and Kelsey a few years ago when she came for a visit.

Soooo...if you like these layouts and want them as quick pages, you know what to do, wink, wink.

Okay, I have another announcement. I have been working on something really cool and it's almost ready! I won't tell you what it is but I will give you a hint: I don't want to be "negative" about it. Any guesses? No it's not the most obvious one, but along those lines...very close! I guess you'll just have to wait and see!

All seeing and all knowing...comes from all snooping!

So hubby was cleaning out Kelsey's backpack the other day and what did he come across? These 2 notes. They are so funny! It's not hard to figure out who it is, but it may be if you're only 8, LOL!

The next day she tells us she got an invitation to a boy's birthday party...so I ask...is this the same person writing you the love notes as a secret admirer? She went bonkers trying to figure out how we knew about those notes!!! LOL!! That's the best time to tell them and have them believe that you really do see everything and know everything! As harmelss and funny as this is I hope this is not a precursor to what our future holds for her teenage years, although I am already 100% sure it is. (She is still wondering where the notes went and how we know, ha, ha!)

Also, this weekend Digital Candy is going to be having a SALE!!! 30% off, so mark your calendars, you DON'T wanna miss this!!!

New Kit!!!

So I have finally finished one of my favorite kits so far, it's called Bloomin Crabapple and it is my take on the gorgeous crabapple trees we see here this time of year. You always know spring has sprung when these gorgeous trees start to bloom and it just brightens my day when I see them. This kit can definitely be used for many different layouts from Spring to Ladylike to Girlie and of course Mother's Day! I especially love the pop of bright green in this kit. I hope you all like it too.

You can purchase it at either one of my stores (links on the right hand side of blog page) at Digital Candy or the Digiscrapshak. Thanks for looking!! And PS, I love to see layouts using my designs so if you use it I would LOVE to see what you did with it! Later chickies!

We're Baaack!

YAY, we're back! It feels so good to be home. Traveling nowadays is a nightmare so I'm glad that part is over. Vegas was AWESOME! Hot though, between 95 and 99 degrees fahrenheit! UGH! I have so much to tell so I'll break it all down for easier reading (hopefully lol)

La Reve - Absolutely stunning and amazing show at the Wynn Hotel!!! I highly recommend it! There are no bad seats as the theater is circular so even a shortie like me could see over everyone else. This was a water show and apparently the same man created it that did the Cirque de Solies (sp?). It was an amazing blend of water and acrobatics. I don't know about you but everything is better with water...remember Survivor Africa? That was the only one not done by water and it flopped in comparison to the others so that's my silly reasoning. This was my first show so I don't have anything to compare it to but I still think it was amazing!

New York New York Hotel - Awesome hotel!!! We had a Marquis Suite which is larger than a regular suite with a huge jacuzzi tub, sofa, and dinette. We got in and the stereo was playing softly and the lights were on, such a nice touch! The staff at the resort were amazing, not one person was snippy or rude. They were all so helpful and funny, really making an effort to make your stay great. I would highly recommend this if you want a nice room to go back to. (The restaurant America in the hotel was very bland but all the other restaurants were pretty good.)

Treasure Island Sirens Free Show - Don't waste your time on this one holy cow! We stood there amongst all the rest of the people in the heat only to see a show that looked like a second rate burlesque show. So cheesy and just plain not worth it even though it's free, we left early.

The Mirage Volcano - this starts at 8 pm and is free too, very cool to see.

Bellagio Fountains - free and very cool to see too.

Mandalay Bay Shark Reef - This place was very cool. Sharks, all kinds of fish, stingrays, jellyfish and crocodiles. Very cool. Definitely worth the $$.

Mirage Secret Garden Dolphin and Tiger Displays - This was cool too, although the dolphins don't do a show per se you can still see them and watch them swim and intercat with eachother and the trainers if it's feeding time etc. Also, the tigers were way cool to see too.

Primm Shopping Outlets - so who doesn't like shopping? This was a short ride and since we were staying in NYNY we got to ride the shuttle free (vs. $15 p/p, you also get this deal if you stay at the MGM too, how cool is that?! If it's free then it was meant to be...a good excuse for shopping!) Our driver was awesome and amazing, he told us about the history of the area and funny stuff. The outlet mall was cool, I got lots there! I bought new sunglasses, a watch and a purse at the Fossil store. And they have an undergarment outlet...hello...bought like 10 b.r.a.s. tee hee. (Good ones are hard to find here.) Old navy was there too. If you love to shop go there!

Hmmm...did I forget anything? We had been there before so this is just the new stuff we did this time. We walked the entire length of the Vegas Boulevard our first morning, leaving me with blisters for the rest of the time. UGH. I looked like a gimp! Ha, ha!

Overall it was a lovely trip...but being home is great!!! :)

Oh yeah, this is the $10 apple we had to try... and yes it was that good!!! Chocloate caramel walnut, YUM!!!

Ok so just a few pictures:

So much cool stuff happening!

Ok so The biggest thing on my mind is VEGAS BABY! We leave this Sunday and I already have vacation head, my brain is so not functioning at my in real life job! LOL! I can't wait, it will be sooo nice!

Also, I have been designing like crazy but still not much to show for it as I keep jumping back and forth between items, lol, so like me! I have a new DESIGNER SAMPLER available FOR FREE at my store at the Digiscrapshak (link to the right) but they are currently down changing their servers at the moment (until about Friday), so for now you will have to just take a look at the preview here and check my store for the FREE SAMPLER soon.

I realized that most of my kits are girlie so I decided to make a little something for those who have boys. I love the colors and the name...doesn't every little boy want to be a man of the law?

Ok it's been a long day at work and it's wayyy past my bedtime here (yes I stick to a bedtime lol) so I better get to bed before I drag myself around all day tomorrow, till then later chicklets!

Busy Week!

Wow it's been a busy week! I am so excited to announce that I will be coming soon to another awesome store...just can't say yet...Oh the suspense! LOL!

I did a CT call (yeah I know didn't put it up on my blog, bad, bad blog slacker) and the applications I got were amazing! I am so excited! I hope to have an answer back to all those who applied soon, no later than next Friday. YAY!

It is like a hurricane here today and guess what we were doing. Shoveling wheelbarrows full of topsoil and trucking it to our backyard and making little piles all over to be raked out at a later date ha, ha! I am covered in dirt it's in my ears my nose my mouth and places I would rather not mention! Ha, ha...in between my toes...where else?! I am so proud of my sweet little girl, she was out there helping us shovel dirt into the wheelbarrows for almost as long as I was! So proud of her helping us like that! Of course my hubby was out there all week after work doing it so I have to give him MAJOR credit! He works so hard!

Did some shopping last night and UGH can I just say we have a SERIOUS lack of stores here! I miss the big city so that I can actually find clothing! I FINALLY did find a few cute things so that turned my total frown upside down, at least a little bit. Tee-hee. My excuse was that I needed new clothes for our vacation, yeah that's right going on vacation in 2 WEEKS!!! Where are we going...VEGAS BABY!!! I LOVE VEGAS!!!! And this time we are leaving the sweet little kiddo behind and are going to see some shows, already booked tickets for the show La Reve at the Wynn I am SO EXCITED!!!! (Can u tell?) I am also looking forward to making myself "unplug" so to speak, as I don't have a laptop I will be forced to take a vacation from designing, forums, email and my in real life job of course and ya know what...I am looking forward to it, we'll see how long I can stand it without my internet connection! Ha, ha.

In Digiscrappin news I have a new kit in the works and I am VERY Excited! I LOVE the colors and hope to have it finished soon! Ok I've babbled enough, hope everyone has a great weekend! Mwuah!

IT PASSED!!!!!

So our union has been in negotiations for almost 2 years, negotiations failed and we were sent to mediation, the vote on the mediator's report was today and I just found out that IT PASSED!!! Yay! That's means no strike for us! I was getting really worried as both hubby and I work in the same union. I am almost in tears to know that this stress is almost over and we can start planning again. I hate planning for an uncertain future, especially when we still have so much landscaping to do. YAY, now we can start! What a load off!

In Digiscrappin news I just found a great new gal Heidi and her AWESOME Canadian Digi Scrappin site! Check it out: http://www.cdsu.ca and tell ALL your friends. Gotta support our fellow Canadians!!!

Off to celebrate ;)

Biker Babe

So I thought I'd share this layout I did today of my daughter. The photo isn't the greatest in quality but it was the whole inspiration behind my newest kit Rebel Diva. I love this picture, she has worn off temporary tattoos on her arm, funky sunglasses perched on top of her head and for some reason it has always screamed Biker Babe to me.

I also did some shopping at our store 40% off sale at the Digiscrapshak.com and got some awesome goodies! If you haven't been there be sure to check it out as the sale ends today at midnight.

Most everything used is from my Rebel Diva kit, black scribble alpha (recolored) from Vickie also at the Digiscrapshak.com and polaroid frame from Valorie Brown also at the Digiscrapshak.com.

How Rebellious Are You?!

So I have another kit up in My Store at The Digiscrapshak, and I must say this is my favorite so far! I have been sitting on this one for a few days now and just couldn't wait any longer to release it!!! This kit was inspired by the hot tattoo style fashions that are everywhere (although I didn't go the skull and crossbones route but I soooo wanted to! Ha, Ha!) Rebel Diva is rebellious, funky and totally youthful. It even includes temporary tattoos! So show off your inner rebel and bring on those fearless layouts! How Rebellious Are You?!

What makes me laugh

I keep meaning to post this for a laugh...these always make me laugh no matter how many times I hear them!

1) I love how Homer from the Simpsons whispers, seriously it cracks me up EVERY TIME!!!! I actually asked my hubby to try and do it and he refuses (not that he does impressions, but I am sure it would make me laugh just the same).

2) It's a moo point...what's a moo point? It's like a cow's opinion, no one cares! From my old favorite show Friends. Who said that? Joey of course! That show never failed to make me laugh and I totally miss it. There's not enough good half-hour comedies on anymore!

3) Sometimes I run around singing: hands in my pocket, hands in my pocket, hands in my pocket from that commercial. It just cracks me up!

Have a little laugh today on me! And hey, next time you're watching the Simpsons just try not to laugh when Homer whispers!

YUCK!

So I picked up my dear daughter from school today and what did I notice upon seeing her? She was wearing a different shirt. I asked her where she got it and out came this horrible story...

She was reading to her book buddy (the younger grades get read to by the older grades) when all of a sudden the little girl she was reading to (who didn't feel well) puked all over her! No one would play with her after that so the principal helped her find a shirt in the lost and found to wear.

Kelsey's take on this, "The best part about it was that I got another gumball". We told her we hoped that gumball didn't come from the girl who puked on her, if you get my drift! LOL! Kids say the funniest things. So I'm off to wash some other kids puke off my daughter's clothes! Yuck.

PS - It's STILL snowing here! UGH!

Do Ya Wanna See??

Ok so here are the previews for my debut kits now available the The Digiscrapshak! I feel like a proud new mama!
