A Tail of 2 Bunnies

Heehee it should be tale but I couldn't resist ;) Anyway I am sure you have heard me mention Maddy's infamous Bunny. Since he has to be washed and dried by hand it's always an adventure to get it back to Maddy in time for a nap/bed. The last time we didn't boy did she keep us up allllll night! So I decided to look on the internet once again to see if I could find a duplicate. You would think it wouldn't be that hard but apparently this bunny is just as special as Maddy thinks he is LOL!

You wouldn't believe my excitement when 2 weeks ago I actually came across a clone of our bunny! The only thing different this guy was that the bow color was brown and not creme. So I paid (again) a ridiculously expensive amount to have a spare bunny for her. I know she probably won't love this one the same but we plan on sleeping with it ourselves and then putting it in her room to absorb the "appropriate" smells and hopefully it will work. I was worried about the 2 different colored bows and that she would notice, well last week the bow on her original bunny fell off, how perfect was that?! LOL! So now I will just pull off the new bunny's bow and they will look somewhat similar (except for the ahem less than new condition of the old one LOL).

So here is a picture of the 2 bunnies. Seriously, did bunny actually look that pink and new when we bought him almost a year ago?! I cannot believe how dirty/gross he is and we just washed him about 2 weeks ago! Oh My Goodness LOL!

The Original Bunny in all his glory heehee

And the bunny the bathtime imposter ;)

We got smart and already bought the twins similar ones, yes they got 2 of each! I should go to walmart and buy all the rest and then sell them on ebay like the other people do at crazy prices that us desperate parents will pay to have their baby's lovey/security blanket/nunu back LOL! I could use a side job! ;)

Oh and I forgot to tell you, at my last doc appointment I was 23 weeks and my belly is measuring at that of a 28 week pregnant woman...oh boy...here we go! And yes pictures should come soon, I just want to look decent, maybe hubby will take a few this weekend.

Our Backyard

So a friend of mine posted about her new swing/playard for her little one who is just a few weeks younger than our Maddy and since I had been putting off blogging about that I thought I'd share ours too. :)

Last weekend hubby was busy busy between putting this together and mowing/weeding the yard and getting it all summer ready! He did a gorgeous job and as always worked his buns off heehee. He's a keeper for sure! (Love ya hun!)

We wanted a swing set for Maddy and walmart was out of theirs and we couldn't afford the ones that are over 1,000 bucks so when we saw this in the Canadian Tire Flyer we thought it would be perfect and it was on sale! We also don't have a lot of room since Kelsey still has her trampoline that she got last summer so we needed a set on the smaller side. I do have to say that this is a bit smaller than we were thinking it was but it will work perfect for our little ones (2 who have yet to be born and 1 who isn't even 1 yet LOL!) until they are older and we have more room for a bigger one. We also got Maddy a sandbox because she really loved playing at the beach and then in the gravel at the park (yeah that was dad's doing! LOL!). Since we have 2 dogs and endless neighborhood cats we decided instead of using the space provided under the ladder/climbing wall and slide that we would get a good one with a lid. Don't ask how much this silly red crab was! But these are all Maddy's b-day presents along with a few other small things we will get her so hey it all works out right?!

So here is our lovely backyard!

Here is a pic of the whole back and side. I just love how it looks! Good job Daddy! (Don't even get me started on all the neighbors that have yet to do anything to their weedpatches oops I think they call them yards, they have been here longer than us since our house was one of the last to be built and have done nothing, oh wait I thought I wasn't gonna get started LOL!)

Here is a close up of Maddy's new swingset/playard. Yes the slide faces into the bark where the tress/plants are hahaha, but the slide isn't bolted on yet. ;) Maddy's not so sure about her swing, she definitely prefers the ones at the park since the blue one is kind of more restrictive in her movements so dad went looking for one of those and couldn't find one but came home with the cute orange car. We haven't tried it yet but figured she may like that one better since she will sit up higher and can flail her hands and arms around...remember she is our very own “wacky inflatable arm flailing tube man” roflmbo!!! See this post if you don't remember.

And just a little picture of her ridiculously expensive little red crab sandbox (again walmart was out of theirs so we got this at Canadian Tire too, apparently you have to buy your summer toys from walmart in January if you want to be sure to have any for June haha!) It's worth it though! Daddy is going to get some black rubber mats to go around and under this for us. :)

So there you have it, our backyard all ready for the summer! (Just in case mommy can't waddle to the park ROFLMBO!!!!! Seriously that WAS one of our justifications!)

I'm no Superwoman

We had our OB appointment this week and things seem to be fine. Babies heart rates are good and so is my blood pressure and everything else. I do have to go for my Gestational Diabetes screening before my next appointment and am hoping I pass, but last time with only 1 baby I was on the verge so I am preparing for that possibility.

Before I start this let me tell you that everything is fine. ;) I have been feeling crampy now for a few weeks off and on, usually after activity and when I'm sitting down after it. It feels like m.e.n.s.t.r.u.a.l. cramps. Yesterday morning I got them on the way to work and they didn't go away after about an hour a half and with drinking water so I decided to go to labor and delivery just to be sure. (That was my doc's advice if they lasted for a while and didn't go away.) Yay it was absolutely nothing, they aren't contractions but boo for feeling like a dork! LOL! I never went in with any of my other pregnancies before delivery but it's better to be safe than sorry. I don't know why I am having these cramps but maybe it's from sitting all day because they go away when I stand up or lay down for a while. So I took the day off and am laying here in bed on my netbook resting my tummy muscles in hopes that they will go away. This pregnancy has really shown me I am no superwoman (not like I was before). I feel so bad for hubby because both of us are exhausted and with so much to do all the time, well it would be nice if we could manage to do more but I guess that's what everyone feels like eh?

My next u/s and appointment with OB are both on the same day June 16th which also happens to be Kelsey's birthday. :) Hopefully everything will be good then too and hopefully the GD test goes fine this time. ;)

Last Weekend

So last weekend we took Maddy to a local lake/pond to play in the sand. She had a blast! She even tried eating it and when daddy would try and move her hand away from her face she would scream, she really wanted that sand LOL! So since I haven't shown any pictures in a while here are a few from that day. :) (Yay I FINALLY got some photos edited! )

Here's Maddy in her new hat

Such a cutie!

Such a troublemaker! She will NOT let this hat stay on her little head!

Trying to eat the sand

Look at how dirty I am! My legs are covered, I even had sand in my diaper! :)

I sure had fun! :)

So many things to remember to tell you ;)

Wow so much to catch up on! Maddy is one action packed adventure LOL! She's getting way more teeth and we have been having trouble with her not wanting to eat her dinner, I think this is the reason. We went from garbage guts to pickier than picky! The whole top of her mouth is white gums like they are all there just waiting to break through and I think her right top one is almost there!

This past weekend was a long weekend and since my dayhome provider took thursday and friday off too I took some vacation and had a 5 day weekend! It was nice but Mads was so cranky with c.o.n.s.t.i.p.a.t.i.o.n and her teeth that it's wasn't exactly a relaxing 5 days heehee. We did take Mads to the lake or shall I say swimmimn hole LOL to play in the sand, hopefully I can upload those pics later this weekend.

She did say a few cute things this weekend, I don't know if I'd count them as real words since she doesn't say them often or they mostly just sound like a word but it's still cute.

Sat/Sun morning (can't remember which) I was feeding Maddy some baby cereal with fruit and she was acting like she didn't want to eat it. So I asked her "Are you sick of eating baby cereal?" And she said "Yeah" plain as day LOL it's not like she knew to say that then but it was hilarious!

She also dropped a toy and said "Uh Oh" and when she saw her sister jumping on the trampoline she said something that sounded a lot like Sissy. And tonight she looked at daddy and said hi. So she's saying words but not really understanding them yet I think. It's cute nontheless.

So today we had another ultrasound. I am 22 weeks right now and can I say already falling prey to aches and pains. I feel huge already and really struggle with wrapping my brain around how big I will get and how much longer I have to go. Babies are definitely miracles and I need to make sure to cook these 2 as long as I can but I really need to find the strength to be able to do it.

So everything looked great on today's scans, one is still definitely a boy. He was still showing it off to anyone who was looking heehee. The other is still most likely a girl although it was hard to tell since she was basically curled up in a ball today. The tech said they looked like they were spooning, how cute! Best friends already!

So their heartbeats were 142 and 143 which are good and they each weigh 1 pound .04 ounces which again is a bit ahead of their gestational age (I could have sworn she said 1.4 but the ounces would have been way off so it has to be 1.04). The ultrasound tech said we have 2 big babies in there, like singleton big. Ummmm I barely made it carrying one 8.4 pound baby last time...how could I ever carry 2 of them?!?! I am only 5 foot one for goodness sake and there is only so much room for rent! I guess these are normal worries for moms of multiples. But all in all everything looks good! So that is definitely something to be thankful for, for sure!

I have a dr's appointment this coming Tuesday, I'm supposed to get a non stress test but from what I've read and heard they don't usually start them til 30 weeks or so, I'm thinking it might be a scheduling mistake but whatever. The more monitoring the better I say. A non stress test is just where they have heartbeat monitors on your tummy for each baby and a monitor that measures if momma is having any contractions, that's it. It can take from about 20 minutes to an hour depending on if the babies cooperate.

Otherwise we are all here still, exhausted but still here. ;) I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of a maternity belt to help hold up my growing belly and I also finally found a bunny that is exactly the same as maddy's current bunny as a backup, don't ask how much I paid for it though LOL!

I would show you the pics from today but the stinkin scanner at work is still not scanning right so I will just scan them here at home this weekend, I am just too tired tonight.

Both the girls bdays are coming up soon so we are busy trying to think of gifts etc for them. My how time flies!

Ok well I have more to say but as I said I am exhausted and Maddy is whining like there is no tomorrow due to her teeth. I think we could both use an early bedtime. ;)

11 Months

Wow how time has flown by, can our little Maddy really be 11 months old already?! It seems like just yesterday she was a teeny tiny newborn! I am so happy she came into our lives, there’s nothing like our little Madison.

At 11 months Miss Madison sure is full of personality, I want to make sure we don’t forget any of this so here goes!

Maddy is definitely stubborn and does things on her own time (her late arrival into this world should have been an indicator heehee). She has just started butt scooting (May 8th)to get around a bit so YAY!!! She is finally moving, albeit teeny tiny moves but moves nonetheless LOL! I was going to video tape her and hubby said you won’t be able to really even see it on the camera yet anyway hahaha! Oh well, she’s doing it and again…on her own schedule. ;) Apparently she does more at daycare though. When we picked her up yesterday her dayhome provider had said that she went to the kitchen to prepare lunch and she found Maddy at her feet! She had scooted all the way over to her from the living room! She must have been in a scooting mood yesterday cuz she also scooted halfway across our living room last night to get to poor old Nelly (our pug) way to go Maddy!!! Guess I can maybe pull out that camera now eh?

Madison (aka Maddy aka Mads), well the name completely suits her! She definitely gets Mad and pulls attitude which we have dubbed Mattitude (get it?). She is one feisty little girl! For months and months now when she gets excited or mad she flails her arms about. It always brings to mind the “wacky inflatable arm flailing tube man” from the Family Guy cartoon. (google it if you need to, she does it differently but that’s what I call her when I see it although I can never get it right seeing as how it’s a mouthful!)

Maddy also gets bored very easily, she has ever since she was tiny, she can’t just sit in one spot for hours and play. She is also definitely spoiled with lots of attention and mommy and daddy and sissy to play with her so hey, maybe it’s not all her fault. ;)

Maddy LOVES to throw her toys! This started at about 3 or 4 months if I remember right and the nurses and teachers we all heard say that’s their new game to watch something drop and see if you pick it up again…well apparently Maddy is still in love with that game! She throws her toys in the van before we have even left the driveway, she throws her toys off the highchair and even when sitting on the floor she doesn’t just rifle through her toy box, oh no she picks things up and throws them to the side while she looking for something good to play with. Ahhhh I just love the little things kids do that show the become so “them” ya know?

Right now she says dadadadadada all the time, that’s most of what her jibber jabbering is, although I don’t think she has really connected dada or daddy when she says it to dad. She is also very fond of her daddy, there’s a special bond there and it’s adorable. In fact on Mothers Day she was totally enamored with dad and was so not into me that day at all…what a goofball! Those 2 are so awesome together!

She loves her sissy (sister) too and the 2 of them have a bond like no other. It’s so cute to watch them. Sissy would take Mads into her room and they’d sit on her bed playing with toys and watching tv for like 20 minutes, awwwww sister bonding time!

Maddy now has 4 teeth! She got her 3rd tooth on April 25th, it’s the one on her lower left, right next to the 2 middle ones that were already there. And then on May 7th her first top tooth (left) popped through! Yay Maddy!

Right now she eats a mixture of table food and jarred food although she won’t eat any jarred food but the purees so we usually give her meat etc from our plate and supplement the rest with a fruit or veggie puree. She also loves gerbers little crunchies and stars and eats those a lot! She doesn’t do formula anymore hardly, again with the stubborn thing, she has one bottle when she wakes up in the morning and one at bedtime and the rest is either water or milk. We tried every bottle and cup known to man and finally had to settle on some cheap bottles that a) weren’t glass and b) had a solid bottom. The ones we use for formula are great but don’t work for her to drink on her own because, well, they have an open bottom so she won’t drink but instead plays with the disposable liner inside that the formula/milk/water is in and makes a huge mess and doesn’t drink any. Like I said, ahem, she’s a little stinker LOL!

She claps whenever she feels like it and it’s so adorable, she gets this oh so proud look on her face! She’ll also wave but again…she is selective, we know she can do it but ehhh sometimes she just doesn’t feel like it. LOL! What a girl!

These are just a few of the wonderful and unique thing about our Maddy that I want to make sure we don’t forget as the time flies right on by. She truly is a handful, mischievous, monster, troublemaking, sometimes shy and reserved, adorable, hilarious, sweet, loving, smart and wonderful girl and we couldn’t love her more! Life with Maddy added is just that much sweeter for the rest of us!

Since we have a DVD Camcorder which means we have to wait til the disc is full and then do a bunch of extra work to covert the file type I just used my old camera to take this short snippet of Maddy playing tonight. Yes she still uses her bumbo to sit in the kitchen while we are making dinner. ;) Here's our little troublemaker. Enjoy!

Randomness

Geez ya know I had a huge post typed out, and since I have learned the hard way, I was highlighting the text to copy it in case it gets lost before its posted and well I lost it all URGH!!!!! It was good too. :(

Anyway today is our 4th wedding anniversary, 4 years ago today we were in awesome Las Vegas excited to become man and wife. Oh how time flies! Happy Anniversary Honey I LOVE YOU!!! Ahhhh if only we could go there and get away sometime soon heehee.

So last night we went out to dinner just the 3 of us Maddy and hubby and I (Kelsey was at a sleepover). We went to the lodge and had their buffet and let me tell you Maddy was a HUGE fan LOL!! She had a ton of prime rib, potatos, noodles, watermelon, chocolate cake and cheesecake! Our little garbage guts! I am so glad she is finally starting to eat so well because just a few months ago it was a fight to get her to eat solids. I never thought I be able to have a baby who actually enjoyed eating so we are definitely happy about this! Although her newest thing is putting the food in her mouth and taking it back out to look at it and then putting it back in LOL what a lady! She was also so cute waving at the waitress and flirting with everyone. After dinner we went to the park for a swing and a short walk. :) It was such a great night!

I forgot to say that after my shopping/errands Saturday I got home to find a dozen roses! So sweet! And then this morning I also got a rainbow amethyst necklace, wow! Hubby wasn't even supposed to get me anything let alone spoil me like this! What a sweetie! Shhh don't tell him that we don't want it to go to his head heehee ;)

Well this isn't even half the post I had but after losing the first post I just don't have the steam to keep going. Hopefully I will have some pics to share soon. :)

We're here

Well it's been a while again hasn't it? We are SOOO Busy that time literally does just fly right on by, if only that were a good thing in many ways LOL! The last week or so has been pretty ugly weather so I can't tell you how excited I am for the weather  to turn nice around here and it starts today! YAY! Hopefully a trip to the park can happen this weekend!  We also saw a cute little swing and slide set on sale at Sears this coming weekend and think it would be perfect for Maddy. It is years 1 - 4 so she can use it soon as opposed to the other bigger playhouses we have been looking at. I think we may get this and get the playhouse next summer or the one after that when she's big enough. I think she would love the swing in this!

Little Tikes® Swing Along Castle

Well the time has come to tell a little secret, although everyone who reads this blog already knows I bet ROFLMBO!!! I was waiting to scan the pictures on the (better and fancier) scanner at work but since it's out of commission I will share the first picture I have and the rest later. We are expecting again! And it's not just one.....it's twins!!!! Oh.....My.....Goodness! Life will surely be even more hectic around here soon! So here is the picture of them at 7 weeks.

What I thought were 2 little eye sockets were actually the babies LOL! We were shocked and still are but we are excite too! So needless to say, having a 10 year old, a 10 1/2 month old being pregnant with twins and being back at work full time is NO EASY TASK! I am really counting down the days till I can leave on Mat leave again because it's quite hard to make it through the days. Sooooo hopefully my next entry I can share the pictures of the babies at 18 weeks! Oh yeah and their due date is September 22nd but they will induce me by 38 weeks if they haven't already made their arrival so I think it's pretty safe to say that they will come early, (unlike little miss Madison LOL!)

Speaking of Mads, I never did do her 10 month post, bad mommy! :(    So here we go...Our little Mads is 10 1/2 months old and boy is she ever a cutie! She is also a little troublemaker and a handful but we couldn't imagine life without her!

She is STILL not crawling at 10 1/2 months, I have finally gotten over worrying about that so don't get me started again! She loves daycare but her way of greeting me is to smack me in the face hard cuz she gets so excited. She also throws her toys CONSTANTLY! She plays with toys in her highchair and they are all over the floor in a few minutes if not seconds! And in the car we sometimes don't even get out of the driveway before she has thrown all her toys to where we can't reach them. She is one mischevious little girl! ;) We should have known when she was late in coming what her personality would be like, stubborn and high maintenance (in a good way though) LOL! She is our darling and we just LOVE her personality even though it keeps us on our toes! ;)

She says dadadadadada all the time but it's really just babble still. She also says yeah-yeah-yeah too but no actual words along with recognition like mum or dada. That too will come in time.

Well it sounds like nap time is over so I better go see what our little troublemaker is up to now heehee! She lights up our lives whenever she's around and we wouldn't have it any other way!
