Commence Radio Silence

Well it appears my right arm (aka my netbook) has decided to take a holiday vacation despite how much I rely on and love it. Apparently it no longer wishes to be used to leisurely surf the net as I nurse/feed babies or while I cook, displaying those gorgeous recipes I love to at least drool over even if I don’t cook them for my loving family, finicky friend isn’t it?! LOL! So expect radio silence for a while as I can’t get to my desktop a lot. It is still under warranty but who knows how long they’ll have it, guess that’s better than no warranty at all and no netbook at all.  I am off to start my grieving process now. :(

For your viewing pleasure

I have finally found a few seconds to upload some cute video clips. First and foremost Maddy is WALKING!!! Ok so it’s still only 1/3 of the time so far but that is a step in the right direction considering she is 3 days shy of 18 months. What a girl! She is the light of our lives!

Oh and before you enjoy these videos please please disregard my awful mommy on video sing songy voice yikes…its baaadddd! ;)

Maddy Walks!!!

In keeping with the season and to have some fun we bought some of those vinyl cling-ons and Mads sure does love them. She even knows who Santa is check it out its adorable. :)

Santa

Jae is our high maintenance baby just like her sister Maddy was. She doesn’t talk much yet, although sometimes she may be and it just sounds like her cranky noises so we don’t pick up on it. You really have to see her face to know if she’s happy or not LOL but we caught her here talking. When she does smile though it lights up her entire face, she is such a beauty! Oh and her poor little face in this video, the night before I had put some new cream on her since she seemed to have some pretty bad eczema and wow did it turn her red, I mean fire hydrant red. I felt sooooo bad! (So much for baby eczema care lotion!) So as you see her face here, keep in mind this is the day after. :(  We were going to the doc the next day anyway so it worked out great, we got some hydrocortisone cream prescription to apply once a day and some glaxal base cream to use the rest of the time (at every diaper change I’m doing) and she looks like a new girl! Perfect skin! Anyway, she’s adorable check her out!

Jae Talks

And last but certainly not least is my little man Jackson! Oh my how a little man can melt a mommy’s heart! I am so blessed!!! This is the first time he is sitting in his bumbo, a chair that lets babies sit upright when they can hold their head up. As with Maddy the twins get to sit in theirs for a few minutes a day and build up their strength for longer play sessions. Maddy used to sit in hers and rifle through her toybox and smash the toys on the accompanying tray at quite a young age, it was adorable and I just can’t wait til these little ones can too. Jackson is quite the little talker (he is also my happy baby) and I just love watching him and listening to him talk. So here he is, mommy’s little man!

Jackson talks

And with that I am off. I hope you all enjoyed these videos.

I don't have much time

but after getting "lost" in a grief forum at a regular forum I frequent and finiding out someone who was pregnant and due around the same time as me lost one of their twins I just have to publicly say...
I am the luckiest mom on the face of the planet to have 4 happy healthy children. Having twins could have had a far different outcome than 2 happy healthy beautiful babies and I am just so thankful for these little joys that I am blessed with, all 4 of my kids! Those 4 sweet faces, among the chaos I am blessed! With all my ranting and laughing and complaining I may do here about my crazy life, I wouldn't trade any one of them for the world!!!!

Stepping out of the box

Normally when I make chili I throw kidney beans, mushrooms and tomato sauce in the crockpot with a seasoning packet and some ground beef and call it dinner.  I never really thought there was anything wrong with that, until now.

For those of you who know me I am no culinary goddess, I lack serious skills and I also lack adventurous tastebuds, this combination my friends leads to many a boring dinner in our house. (My hubby will also say he does most of the cooking but from my boring menu…shhhhhh he’s right LOL!) But being on maternity leave seems to bring out the Susie Homemaker in me (it did last time too) and I just had to try this recipe regardless of the time crunch that dinner has become with newborn twins.  Yeah I am crazy like that.

It turned out really good and I now have to wallow in the embarassment of my previous chili making skills, especially now that I have admitted how I used to make it on the internet for all to read haha. Seriously I don’t know why I had never thought of putting any other meat in there besides ground beef, duh! So without further ado I would like to take this time to apologize to my family for making them eat my crockpot goop (though I bet I’ll still make it from time to time LOL!).

Now normally making chili wouldn’t come with pictures but in this household…you bet it does. At least now that doing so is a monumental task rofl!

So how do I chop, chop and chop some more with newborn twins and a 17 month old? Well it’s simple, you let the 17 month old play in your tupperware and try your best not to trip and fall while she plays under your feet…

1 IMG_3050 copy

2 IMG_3054 copy

4 IMG_3059 copy

You wait til your twins are in their bouncy seats happy as clams…wait did I say happy ugh?! You run back and forth plugging suckies in (all the while trying not to trip on tupperware and Maddy under your feet) while chopping, chopping and chopping some more. Oh yeah and to make it more fun take pictures along the way roflmbo!!! (Poor little man, I promise I didn’t poke him to make him cry nor did I let him cry excessively for this picture I just snapped away while grabbing the sucky in the other hand. No babies were harmed in the filming of this chili experiment…only mommies HAHA!!!)

5 IMG_3064 copy

Well one is as happy as a clam that ain’t bad!

6 IMG_3065 copy

More roadblocks and tripping hazards of the noisy variety…chop, chop, chop

7 IMG_3067 copy

clang clang clang

8 IMG_3068 copy

here we go again, traverse the tripping hazard obstacle course to plug a sucky in

9 IMG_3069 copy

still sleeping like an angel…is this really Jae or did she get replaced with a sleepy little alien? (she’s my high maintenance one usually.)

10 IMG_3070 copy

More tripping hazard fun for mommy

11 IMG_3071 copy

yay the chopping is done…commence cooking!

12 IMG_3073 copy

Gloriously noisy fun!

13 IMG_3074 copy

And finally the finished product!

14 IMG_3075 copy

Phew I’m tired again just typing all this out! I will definitely be making this chili again despite all the work vs my old recipe. Maybe if I don’t take pictures next time it won’t be quite as hard LOL!

I love my life and my kids, I truly do and I love how they are making me be a stronger woman. I have no choice but it feels good!

Post Catch Up

Wow how time is flying! We are so busy around here that we barely have time to think! Everyone is doing well, no sickies yet so that’s good! We all got our h.1.n.1 and regular flu shots so hopefully that will help keep us all healthy.

Since I have limited time I’ll get right to the good stuff, pictures. I know that’s what you prefer over the ramblings of a crazy insane mother of 3 kids under 17 months LOL.

Jackson moves his head around alot in his car seat, it makes his cute little hat move around too. This is how we found him when we got him out of the car and into the house the other day, he looked like a pirate, ROFLMBO!!!

Can you say “Argh, Ahoy Matey!”

IMG_3106 copy

And here are the two of them  hangin out side by side. They have both just started to smile within the last 2 weeks although it’s not super often yet. And Jackson has started “talking” too, it’s rather adorable!! Comon Jae you can’t let your bro start talking before you, you better get on the bandwagon. ;) I actually caught Jae smiling here. What cuties!

IMG_3115 copy

I don’t know why but the sight of them in their carseats always brings out the camera, maybe it because it’s the easiest way to get 2 babies still to take pictures LOL. Jackson is smiling in this one, I’m pretty sure that’s what made me grab the camera.

And with that I’m off to start my day folks! Enjoy!

2 months old

Wow I can’t believe that the twins are 2 months old today! Time flies by! These 2 babes are the sweetest, cutest little things and despite all of the work and exhaustion I could never give either one of these 2 little bundles up!  They are my sweet little treasures and I love them more and more every day!

Sweet little princess Jae is still losing her hair but she definitely has peach fuzz growing on the top again now, we think she’ll have very thick hair when it comes back in. Her eyes are definitely still blue but they are very dark so she may actually end up with dark hair and eyes…imagine that…one of my kids actually having my coloring, we’ll just have to wait and see.

And my little man Jackson is starting to lose his hair now on the top sides so he is kind of getting a little red mohawk going on heehee. His eyes are still a gorgeous blue too.  I would definitely be surprised if his hair doesn’t come back in still red but hey you just never know.

I just love these two, I wish I had more time to just enjoy each one but that’s life as a twin I keep telling them. ;) Happy 2 months my sweets! I can’t wait to see you both grow and blossom!!!

Halloween 2009

So Halloween 2009 here was total chaos haha, what else would it be with 3 kids under 17 months?

Kelsey decided to go out with friends so her night started early, so no photos of both kids together but that's how it goes when things are crazy :(  We had dinner and then got Maddy ready to go to Grandma and Grandpas and Auntie and Uncles and of course while this is happening the doorbell starts ringing, the 2 dogs go insane and the twins are stirring not to mention trying to get Maddy ready and take pictures still LOL. So we put the dogs in their room for the night and daddy took off with Maddy. I stayed behind with the twins and gave out candy, we had probably between 40 and 50 so not too bad. When Jackson got fussy I held him and answered the door and had one guy tells his son look she's dressed as a new mommy heehee. When daddy got home I got to take Mads out for a little stroll around our block, we really only stopped at like 5 houses of the neighbors we know and are friendly with and then back home but she had fun. She didn't say trick or treat but she would say hi and bye and babble a bit too LOL. We didn't dress the twins up cuz franly they are too young still and the costumes are not really sized for teeny babies so next year they will get to enjoy their first real halloween. So here are a few pictures, enjoy!

Kelsey as a Vampire (she had an awesome wig but apparently it was itchy, bummer!) She looked awesome! My goodness how she is growing!!

IMG_3017-copy IMG_3019-copy

And our little pumpkin (dad insisted that she be a pumpkin this year) and she is freakin adorable!

IMG_3022-copy IMG_3029-copy IMG_3030-copy IMG_3032-copy

And this my friends is how her hair looks after it comes out of those cute piggy tails, it is hilariously crazy messy as it always is now. She sure has a head of hair our little one and it's so curly in the back!

IMG_3047-copyIMG_3045-copy

I hope you all had a great Halloween, what started out as a crazy chaotic mess sure ended up being fun, both ouir girls had a great time and the twins did too even if they didn't get to trick or treat. ;)

This is my life…

sitting on the couch feeding baby jack

baby jae is still in bed, she’s crying now but i can’t get to her (i hate that!)

maddy is pulling the barrette out of her hair and sticking it in her mouth, i try to get her to bring it to me (cuz i’m still feeding baby jack) but she won’t…she just pretends to dip it in some dip and stick it back in her mouth and say mmmmmmmm with a smile (this is what she does now when eating or drinking)

baby jae still crying

baby jack is done-ish

get up to burp baby jack and see what maddy is doing at the end of the couch so quietly

hmmm she’s sitting smack on top of the dog!|(poor nelly)

baby jack is changed and in his bouncy

baby jae is now feeding

maddy is at the end of the couch out of sight again wonder which dog she is sitting on now

baby jae is needing to be burped and changed

now that i stand up i see mads is yet again sitting on nelly poor nelly

baby jae spits up all down the back of me and the hallway floor

change jae and return for second part of feed

maddy is now sitting on the corner of the dog bed, playing with her toys…good or at least better than sitting on the dog

continue feeding jae

maddy decides to be good and come stand by mommy, much better…ok maybe not, now she’s coming after the netbook

close netbook and put out of reach

finish feeding jae

burp jae

maddy sits on my leg and bounces trying to ride it like a horsey, maddy be careful be very careful

finish

put jae in bouncer

pour more coffee

deep breaths deep breaths…patience is a necessity

repeat every 3 to 4 hours

I love my kids

my days however are a crazy chaotic mess ROTFLMBO!!!!

No clever title ;)

Well I just thought I'd pop in and say again, yes we are still alive! Things are super busy around here as I'm sure you all can imagine. The babies were 7 weeks old yesterday! I cannot believe it! On the one hand it seems like just yesterday but on the other hand it feels like they've been here forever! These little ones are sure hard work but little sweeties. They also have very different and distinct peronalities.

Jackson is our laid back little fella, he has his moments but overall is pretty good. He is my sweet little man! He is the one who is usually wailing on the way home from the store for lunch, we should have called him (starvin) Marvin. I think it's sooo cute how his hands and feet are so much bigger than his sisters. Having never had a boy it's kinda cool to see the differences like that. He's also my spit-up boy and has had a few moments of projectile vomiting from his chair. He's a noisy little sleeper and it seems like he's taught his sis to be so as well. They are both always grunting and groaning awake or asleep.

And Jae, she is the more spirited little one ;) shall we say. She usually has something to say and boy she'll let you know. Her feet are super tiny like Maddy's were (her feet didn't really grow til right when the twins were born and then they really grew skipping a size!) I have a feeling Jae will be the same. She has the sweetest little looks and I just love how she purses her little lips and looks at you with her certain look. She's pretty cute! She keeps us on our toes for sure, a lot like Maddy did. She actually reminds me a lot of Maddy.

They both have a fussy time that can start anywhere from 5:30 pm and it usually lasts til their last feed at around 10:30. Thankfully they usually calm down if they are held so we all play hot potato with the babies and Maddy in the evenings. ;) It's exhausting but it could be worse for sure! (I seem to remember a little girl who liked to scream during those same hours each night heehee.)

This is all very very very hard work, there are days I feel like sobbing but for the most part I keep focusing on how proud of myself I am that I am making it through each day with twins and a 16 months old. (Nothin like tooting my own horn eh?) I'm not saying I'm perfect, not saying the house is clean and meals are cooked (my poor hubby!)I'm just amazed that I am still here in one piece and so is everyone else. ;) Some lady at the store yesterday asked me how I could be so happy with 2 newborns and I told her COFFEE LOL!!! Today Maddy went to daycare and so I went out shopping to a store other than superstore and walmart and ran into a lady who had 5 year old twins. It's funny how you can feel a kinship and just start chatting with a stranger. It was nice to hear some of her perspective on twins and getting through the first few months. She said that someone once told her that the days seem to go by slowly but the months fly by and that is so true!

Maddy is getting funnier each day if that is possible. Yesterday I caught her putting her cup on the endtable but not before putting a coaster down first, LOL! It was intentional too, guess they really do watch us. :)

Yesterday when Kelsey came home she asked me if there was a reason that there was a bunch of toilet paper and a sucky in the tub...hmmmm...oh yeah Maddy was playing in the bathroom with me while I was getting ready in the morning and that must have been her handiwork LOL! Ohhh our little girl, she keeps us in stitches for sure! I LOVE this age of hers, full of giggles and laughter for everyone. :) She is also obsessed with puppies, she will wake up and play in her crib and almost every single word she says is puppies, puppies, puppies it's pretty cute!

We are exhausted and busy but oh so blessed!

Maddy took her first steps!

So yesterday was the day, Maddy finally took her first steps. Three to be exact. Maddy has been standing a lot lately and has really been practicing standing by herself in the middle of the room. Well yesterday she was standing for a minute or so, she was distracted by watching a tv show and she took 3 wobbly steps to her sister! NO WAY!!! Try as we might she hasn’t taken anymore but she will… one day LOL! Here’s to hoping she does it again soon.

And with that I’m off again, babies are crying and need to be fed. But I couldn’t let any more time pass  before sharing and recording this milestone!!!

Videos :)

Well I figure I will try uploading a few videos quickly. Because my hubby is so dang awesome (I know you read this so what else would I call you…LOL! Just kidding hun you’re the best!) he got us…ok me heehee a Sony Snap Camera for uploading videos of the kids online.

He got this before the twins were born so that we could take it to the hospital with us as it’s a camcorder and a camera and that meant way less (and big and cumbersome) stuff to lug with us. :) I am so happy he managed to get some footage of each babe after they were born since I didn’t get to see them until later. So even though it’s just a few seconds each here is Jackson and Jaelyn after they were born. :)

Oh and here’s something I don’t want to relive but I thought it might be good for some laughs…the last picture of me pregnant with the twins on August 27th, about a week before they made their arrival. My friend took it and asked me to stand by my van…you know, as a size comparison! THANKS A LOT!!! LOL, I was huge though. :) SO glad to have a normal body back.

More pics soon, I promise! Gotta run!!

Time for an update :)

We’re still here alive and kickin heehee. Life is pretty busy and this past week was my first with all 3 little ones alone so not much else besides taking care of kids got done. We are settling into a groove now though.  I cannot believe that the twins will be 6 weeks on Wednesday, how time flies by!!!  Speaking of the twins, we got their pictures taken today and I am sure they will be awesome!!! The photographer was awesome and soooo patient and it went really really well. As usual mr. man did better than miss Jae but he is just naturally more laid back than she is. She can’t help her diva attitude heehee. ;)  Nah she did well too and when they were put together she really did well. It should be about 3 to 4 weeks before we get our pics but the photographer should post a sneak peek on her blog soon so I will link to that once it’s up. I cannot wait!

In other twin news mr. man had his first episode of projectile vomiting last Thursday. A friend was over visiting and we hear splat…wth? No way, I’ve never had a baby do that before and he did it again tonight, all you hear is the tell-tale splat as it hits the kitchen floor. I hope it’s just a once in a while thing but then again he is my mr spit up like Maddy was. ;)

Speaking of Maddy she has been standing up by herself in the middle of the room lately, not using anything to do it either. We all clap like crazy and say Yay Madison and she claps and smiles too with her oh so proud look on her face! What a joy she is! So this may mean walking is coming soon, then mommy will be in for it I’m sure!

This weekend was Thanksgiving here in Canada and do we ever have a lot to be thankful for.  All of our little ones (and not so little ones) are so special and I couldn’t be more thankful for them and the rest of my family! Life is good…crazy and chaotic and busy and tiring but good! :)

4 1/2 weeks

Wow can the twins really be almost 5 weeks? Holy cow that has gone by fast! Today marks my first day at home alone with all 3 little ones and so far so good. The twins are a bit fussy today as they both seem to have a touch of a cold but thankfully it doesn’t seem too bad. What’s the latest? Not much, just trying to make it through each day.

The twins are somewhat showing signs of a schedule. Their last feed is usually around 10 to 11:30 and that ends up being bedtime so that’s much better than the 1 or 3 or 6 am that they were doing.  ;) That last feed is also a formula feed as they are usually quite happy after a bottle, can you say milk drunk?! LOL!  And they usually sleep around 5 hours or so til the next feed so having 5 hours in a row is quite nice!!! Now that I am alone at home we are planning to do a lot more formula, I need to be able to tend to Maddy and spend quality time with her and take care of her so that is the reality of things with twins and a 15 month old but hey so far this morning we managed breakfast for Maddy and nursing for the twins morning feed so that’s good! :) I figure the lunch feed will be a bottle and by the next feed big sis Kelsey will be home to help with Mads so I think I will nurse again. I really want to make sure they still get some b.milk especially since they are a bit sick right now. I still plan to nurse at night as long as my milk holds out.

I have to say that I do feel somewhat guilty and hesitant on actually pulling the trigger on more bottle feedings but we still managed to get 4 1/2 solid weeks of nursing into them and that to me is success, it’s just that pesky nagging mommy guilt that I have to learn to deal with. ;)

So far having twins is not too bad, it is coming with a lot of exhaustion in this house but at least hubby and I haven’t pulled our hair out yet (although we’ve come close LOL). I’m am sure there will be days where I will but so far we are doing quite well handling all that comes our way (if I do say so myself!). So I have to say thank you to everyone who has helped us make it this far! My parents who all came to stay with us and help us with cooking and baby holding and babysitting! My in laws for watching the kids while I was in the hospital and for cooking and bringing meals! My friends for meals and visits too and everyone who has helped so far, it is MUCH appreciated and has truly helped us get to where we are today!

I am still working on photos and will hopefully have some to share soon, I am a BIT busy these days so I have to just try and squeeze in some time to upload them and tweak them here and there. But soon we will have some professional pics of the twins and that is exciting too. Next Monday we are getting them done so I can’t wait!!

Ok well I better run, kids need to be hugged loved and generally tended to heehee. Be back soon…hopefully!!!

Life is Crazy!

Ok so I don’t have any new pics of the twins to share, it’s so hard to find time to upload them and edit them! But I thought I’d share some cool new finds that I am waiting on…oh internet shopping…how I have missed thee, LOL!

Since we have a carload of kids carseats and seating configurations are a HUGE issue for us. We needed a second carseat for Maddy to have in daddy’s car and instead of buying the same one she currently has we actually decided to replace her carseat with a new one and use her current one for daddy’s car. The new carseat is on its way with my dad and step mom and will arrive this weekend and I can’t wait to see how it works for us. If it is as good as we think we will buy 2 more for the twins when they outgrow their infant seats. So without further ado here is a pic of Maddy’s new ride! Meet “The Radian”, a very highly rated carseat that is very cool!

radian

Why is it so cool? Well it can accomplish this arduous task…..

radian 3 across

and THAT seating configuration my friends is worth its weight in gold!! (If it works heehee.)

Ok since I am low on time let’s move on. ;) I have heard that the Miracle Blanket is a must have and since our twins love to be swaddled (with little success LOL…ok so hubby is better than I am…I can admit my shortcomings heehee) I have finally broken down and ordered these babies. They look like they make swaddling a breeze! Just check out the video on their homepage! So we have ordered one for each of them and I can’t wait to try them out!

For Jackson

blanket blue

For Jaelyn

blanket pink

And last but not least I have 2 adorable hats from Maddy’s baby days so those are being handed down to Jaelyn but Jackson, well he needs to look cool and stay warm too now doesn’t he?! I just ordered this baby today off Etsy and cannot wait for it to arrive!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully the weather will hold out til we get it, we don’t want his poor little head to get cold or he may have to wear one of his sisters LOL! (Just kidding.) He will look ADORABLE!!! I ordered it from PDX Beanies, the same store I got one of Maddy’s/Jaelyn’s from and even one for Kelsey a while back. I am still holding out on one for myself but I REALLY REALLY want one. ;)

beanie

So there you have it. Some MUST HAVE baby/kid items, like you needed any more of those right?! LOL. And with that I’m off to clean up before my darlin hubby gets home!

Pictures of the Twins

Just have a second but the twins are here and I wanted to show some pics. :) They couldn’t look any more different. Jackson Garrison was a tiny bit smaller than his sister at birth but is now just a tad bigger. He doesn’t look bigger but he is. He also seems to have perfect copper colored hair in the sun so we shall see how that plays out, if it stays or lightens/darkens. Jaelyn Grace has quite a bit of fuzzy dark brown hair almost black. Although she has a receding hairline right now heehee. She is also more of a reddish skin tone as opposed to her brother and she has the roundest face. She looks huge but it’s only from the shape of her face she’s a stick everywhere else. The two both have nothing below their waists, they are tiny stick people with no buts at all LOL changing their diapers is like microsurgery on a stick figure rotflmbo!! Anyway they are fussing again so I better run. Hopefully the birth story and more pics etc will come soon, as time allows…now THAT’S funny! Enjoy!!!

Baby Update

HOLY COW can you guess how much these babies weigh? 6 lbs 10 oz and 6 lbs 13 oz…a mere 3 to 5 ounces from 7 pounds!! No wonder why I am falling apart!

My doc appointment went ok, my blood pressure was up around 130 something over 90 something so it is starting to creep up on the bottom number , and there was some protein spilling into my system so these are both things to watch. My belly is also measuring 47 weeks at 36 weeks.

We do have a tentative induction date of September 8th however the doc said that if my body is showing signs of readying for labor and my blood pressure is still not perfect then they might talk about inducing me after my appointment next Tuesday so maybe the following day. I am thinking once he gets the ultrasound results he may just do that cuz if we end up with two 8 + pounders with one being breech the chances of a natural delivery might not be as good but I’m no doctor LOL.

They both scored 8/8 on their tests again today and again were seen practice breathing so yay!!! Oh and Baby Girl B on the last 2 ultrasounds has shown us some hair too. ;) How cute!

I am anxious to not be pregnant anymore, but still nervous about labor delivery and having 2 newborns! But I need my body back, I am just useless right now and getting worse and can’t stand it. I know I will be tired and stressed once they come but at least I will be able to move 2 feet without being out of breath, LOL. I will update Thursday after my non stress test. :)

Figured I'd update again

I couldn't remember if I updated or not so I figure I'll just add a litgtle bit and maybe some random thoughts.

I had my NST yesterday in labor and delivery. I am always so scared I will get someone in labor who was noisy like me in the bed next to me to make me run for the hills LOL. Nope it was all good and quiet. ;)

Babies did well. Baby girl has still not really showed any huge highs and huge lows  which I guess they like to see but her heartrate is still good so that's great. I had quite a few contractions while I was on the monitor too, probably about 10 to 15 minutes apart...wait maybe a bit less since I was only hooked up for about 45 minutes and there were probably about 5 or 6 or 7 good ones. Anyway whatever the math things are a happenin but only in prepparation not the real thing ... yet.

I have had a few energy spurts the last few days, despite those spurts you still can't ompare them to normal peoples' energy spurts LOL. Just means I have managed and had the drive to get a few nagging little things done. I have also started feeling that ever so familiar back cramping that always comes along with my past labors (yeah I havew horrible back labor and am expecting it again) so I am starting to wonder if they will make their entrance soon. I hate not knowing LOL!

I am planning on washing their newborn clothes today and maybe just maybe washing some of mine. We shall see. I am also trying to get Kelsey a few things for school but we have to do a little at a time so someone may have to help us with that if the twins come soon. She does have a few things but not enough. At least she has some basics.

Well maybe I should go and do some preparing instead of blogging...I just have this feeling and am trying to get a few things done otherwise I will be naked at the hospital without phone numbers and cameras and such...but hey I'll have shampoo and conditioner! ;)

Baby Update

Well not much new but I guess that's good. Babies looked good, my belly is measuring 45 to 46 weeks and I am currently 35 weeks!!

To get my next non stress test I have to go to LDR Thursday or Friday and then next Tuesday I have another regular appointment and have an ultrasound right aferwards so that day will be busy busy!! Hopefully it all keeps going with no more scares.

I am off to relax for a few before I have to pick up my Maddy girl.

Maddy Update

So since it's been a while I thought I'd give a Maddy update. :) Our little princess is growing up sooo fast! She is soooooo much like her daddy too, it's adorable! She is also the biggest daddy's girl! Even mommy doesn't rate heehee.

So being like daddy means she is somewhat quiet and reserved. She can say a lot of words but she will only say them once in a while when she feels like it. (Have I mentioned how stubborn she is lately heehee?) SO new words to add are kitty and  puppy along with all her good old favorites. She still never says momma or mom or anything, only like 4 times ever but I know she loves me, on the other hand when daddy comes home she scoots down the hall and to the gate screeching daddy yay or dad, dada! What a girl! Considering the upcoming birth of the twins it's probably best that she's a daddy's girl right now anyway. ;)

And her latest and greatest escapade is standing up!!! YAY MADDY!!! Now I know many babies reach this milestone a few months earlier than Maddy has but she is following a typical pattern that starts with stubborness! ROFL! We are sooooooo proud of her and she is too. We all clap and say yay when she pulls herself up, it's only been like about a week and a half since she really started liking doing this and she has gotten so good at it already! She even does a little shake and shimmy dance to show she’s excited and proud of herself. We are hoping she moves on to the next step soon, as usual with our sweetie she does things only when she is ready and no sooner so we will just have to wait and see. ;)

This little girl of ours is also a little terror in her highchair, she will just grab and toss whatever she wants over the edge or put her hands on the tray and just sweep it all around and off the tray (much to our dogs’ pleasure). So I started pointing at the tray when she would pick up a piece of food to throw, I would tap the tray with my finger and say put it back on the tray Maddy. Well about 2 weeks ago she grabbed a piece of food, threw it as usual and then looked at me and smiled tapping the tray with her finger just like mommy! What a little stinker heehee! I couldn't stop laughing at my little mischief maker, especially with that smirk on her face. Ahhh she is gonna be trouble LOL!

As I have said before Maddy doesn't crawl in the traditional way she "bum scoots" and this is seriously affecting our pocketbook! She has now gone through quite a few pairs of shorts and the replacement shorts are one wash away from the holes growing big enough that you can definitely see them. What a kid!!! I now have to stop being so lazy and just use specific pants or shorts at home and leave the good ones for going out in, how sad is that LOL.

I spent some time editing some pics to quickly share with you so here they are. :)

Maddy’s first ruined pair of shorts, they went from teeny tiny holes that you could hardly see at the beginning of the day to this, no kidding. It only takes about 2 weeks if that to go from brand new to this point.  What a girl!

We have to now put the dog dishes up, I tried to get her used to them but she just will not stay away…notice Rotten Roxy eyeing Maddy’s cracker on the floor.
