Big Girl Sleeping

Well I decided to bite the bullet and finally do what I said I would do forever now, move Maddy to her own room in her own crib. We started the night before last night and I was dreading it! I put her in her crib with her 2 usual blankies and her bunny and rubbed her belly a bit and off I went. She didn't even make one noise!!!! I was SHOCKED! I couldn't believe it! I thought wow we got lucky, until the middle of the night LOL! She seems to go down decent but starts to wake from about midnight to 4 am. Course it didn't help that night that our stupid neighbor had a party and music blaring still at 4 am, jerk! Hubby went over and asked him to turn it down and of course, they didn't. Anyway, I get sidetracked LOL. So needless to say we were all pretty tired yesterday.

 

Well last night she went down ok again, made some noise but not the hours of consistent crying that I was expecting at all. And again with the midnight to 4 am issues. Although to be fair she developed a really runny nose yesterday and was struggling with it all day so I don't think that's helping the situation. I have to say my poor hubby, at about midnight he rolled over and asked me if it was feeding time and I snapped "apparently it's mommy doesn't need any sleep time", yeah I'm tired and cranky lately LOL! Anyway, it really is going better than I thought it would I would just prefer the freaking out to happen while I am still awake vs 4 am but hey this too shall pass...soon I hope LOL!

 

Kelsey is off all this week for reading week and so we both went to get haircuts this morning, yay! Well hers is yay and mine is well not great but whatever, I guess it will grow. I really only wanted a trim to take all the ucky dead ends off but she kind of did some funky things to it. My bangs are VERY short, super hip on some people, super dumb on me. Man I hope this grows out soon. It probably won't be so bad once I try and style it but it definitely wasn't the pick me up I was hoping for, exactly the opposite.

 

So have I sufficiently bummed you out yet?! Geez I sound like an ungrateful whiny brat don't I?! Ok, despite all of this I am very thankful to have my family and my health. Does that make it sound better? ;) Seriously I guess we all just need to rant now and then. At least y'all know I'm real. LOL! I'm off to do some much put off chores and to see if I can make some sense of this crazy hair.

Lucky Friday the 13th

Today is a lucky day for us, 8 months ago today on the last Friday the 13th our newest little girl was born. :) Just a note to say Happy 8 months Maddy! We love you so much! You are such a great addition to this family, you bring joy to not only our lives but to your big sister's as well. Watching the 2 of you and your special bond is so much fun! No one can make you laugh as much or as hard as your sister and is so special to me. :)

Maddy's SECOND tooth!

Two posts in one day?! WOW! This is just a quick one to say that our little Maddy got her second tooth on Feb 10th!! YAY MADDY! It's on her bottom right, right next to her first one. :) She looks so cute! If only I could get a pic of her little teeth, little stinker won't cooperate heehee.

 

I also had a bit of a panic attack this morning...I though Valentines Day was tomorrow! I went out and got Kelsey's valentines for her class yesterday and thought oh I have plenty of time for the rest. Uhhh yeah right! LOL! So I will either be shopping quickly today before our mommy and me playgroup or shopping even faster tomorrow. ;) I'm glad there's still one more kid/hubby free (ok not kid free but Mads doesn't notice what I buy for her yet anyway LOL) day to get the shopping done. Bad Mommy!

Over a week?

Ya know like I said before I really can't stand it when blogs I love to read aren't updated 5o times a day for my viewing pleasure ROFL!!! And here I go again doing the same thing. I really LOVE reading blogs, maybe I'm a voyeur I don't know. I am pretty sure most everyone else out there with a blog enjoys reading blogs too so I know I am not alone for am sure! (Thanks Nola!)

 

Not much to report around here. We've just been going about our regular routine. Maddy has gotten herself a new routine that Mommy doesn't so much like LOL, she usually wakes up sometime around 2 to 4 to eat and well I miss the days she slept through (although those were quite long ago). Speaking of Maddy she's up and it's still early, that seems to be happening more often too NOOOOOOOOO! Momma needs some sleep little one! ;) Hmmm sounds like she fell back asleep, yay!

 

We had a very adventurous food day the day before yesterday. (I started writing this a few days ago and it got ut into my drafts cuz I just can't seem to finish anything on time lately heehee.) I bought her some Mum Mum's (rice biscuits) and some little finger cereal that dissolves in your mouth and she loved them! It didn't take her long to realize what to do with them either. Unfortunately this love of food didn't carry through to her baby food. I am still struggling with this little stubborn princess who really doesn't like much at all in the way of eating. :( Sooo I am hoping that these new goodies will make her start to enjoy eating and may (eventually) carry over into enjoying eating her baby food. Daddy made us some chocolate tarts that night and decided to eat the leftover pudding, well we decided to give some to Maddy just for fun (cuz she never likes anything) and holy cow she is a lover of chocolate pudding ROFL!!! So I am sure we gave her way to much but it was fun to actually see her enjoy something and keep opening her mouth for more and trying to steal the bowl from us. We don't get that when feeding her anything else so we had fun with it for sure!

Well it sounds like the little darling is up again. I better go and get our day started. :)

Randomness

I hate it when blogs I read aren't updated like daily at least so here I go going a whole week (or more) without updating myself. Things are busy here as usual. Maddy had some shots last Wednesday and she still hasn't fully recovered from them. She's been cranky but at least she slept better last night so that's hopefully a sign that she's on her way to feeling better. She has definitely gained weight since her 6 month check up (back when she was so sick) and is up to 17 lbs 4 oz YAY!!! Still a petite little thing although we do love to laugh at her blossoming little buddha belly. ;)

 

The basement is close to being done, carpet gets installed tomorrow so that is super exciting!!! It will be so nice when it's done to have all the extra room! We're gonna need it when Maddy starts crwaling for sure! She's still not showing any signs of that yet but she sits and plays so well now. :)

 

What else is going on here? Hmmm, really just trying to make it through every day. Unfortunately the winter doldrums have hit our house and everyone is feeling it. We need to move somewhere that winter doesn't really exist LOL! I can't wait for the weather to be nicer but that also means me going back to work so I guess that's one thing to be thankful for about the ugly winter weather heehee.
