All seeing and all knowing...comes from all snooping!

So hubby was cleaning out Kelsey's backpack the other day and what did he come across? These 2 notes. They are so funny! It's not hard to figure out who it is, but it may be if you're only 8, LOL!

The next day she tells us she got an invitation to a boy's birthday party...so I ask...is this the same person writing you the love notes as a secret admirer? She went bonkers trying to figure out how we knew about those notes!!! LOL!! That's the best time to tell them and have them believe that you really do see everything and know everything! As harmelss and funny as this is I hope this is not a precursor to what our future holds for her teenage years, although I am already 100% sure it is. (She is still wondering where the notes went and how we know, ha, ha!)

Also, this weekend Digital Candy is going to be having a SALE!!! 30% off, so mark your calendars, you DON'T wanna miss this!!!

New Kit!!!

So I have finally finished one of my favorite kits so far, it's called Bloomin Crabapple and it is my take on the gorgeous crabapple trees we see here this time of year. You always know spring has sprung when these gorgeous trees start to bloom and it just brightens my day when I see them. This kit can definitely be used for many different layouts from Spring to Ladylike to Girlie and of course Mother's Day! I especially love the pop of bright green in this kit. I hope you all like it too.

You can purchase it at either one of my stores (links on the right hand side of blog page) at Digital Candy or the Digiscrapshak. Thanks for looking!! And PS, I love to see layouts using my designs so if you use it I would LOVE to see what you did with it! Later chickies!

We're Baaack!

YAY, we're back! It feels so good to be home. Traveling nowadays is a nightmare so I'm glad that part is over. Vegas was AWESOME! Hot though, between 95 and 99 degrees fahrenheit! UGH! I have so much to tell so I'll break it all down for easier reading (hopefully lol)

La Reve - Absolutely stunning and amazing show at the Wynn Hotel!!! I highly recommend it! There are no bad seats as the theater is circular so even a shortie like me could see over everyone else. This was a water show and apparently the same man created it that did the Cirque de Solies (sp?). It was an amazing blend of water and acrobatics. I don't know about you but everything is better with water...remember Survivor Africa? That was the only one not done by water and it flopped in comparison to the others so that's my silly reasoning. This was my first show so I don't have anything to compare it to but I still think it was amazing!

New York New York Hotel - Awesome hotel!!! We had a Marquis Suite which is larger than a regular suite with a huge jacuzzi tub, sofa, and dinette. We got in and the stereo was playing softly and the lights were on, such a nice touch! The staff at the resort were amazing, not one person was snippy or rude. They were all so helpful and funny, really making an effort to make your stay great. I would highly recommend this if you want a nice room to go back to. (The restaurant America in the hotel was very bland but all the other restaurants were pretty good.)

Treasure Island Sirens Free Show - Don't waste your time on this one holy cow! We stood there amongst all the rest of the people in the heat only to see a show that looked like a second rate burlesque show. So cheesy and just plain not worth it even though it's free, we left early.

The Mirage Volcano - this starts at 8 pm and is free too, very cool to see.

Bellagio Fountains - free and very cool to see too.

Mandalay Bay Shark Reef - This place was very cool. Sharks, all kinds of fish, stingrays, jellyfish and crocodiles. Very cool. Definitely worth the $$.

Mirage Secret Garden Dolphin and Tiger Displays - This was cool too, although the dolphins don't do a show per se you can still see them and watch them swim and intercat with eachother and the trainers if it's feeding time etc. Also, the tigers were way cool to see too.

Primm Shopping Outlets - so who doesn't like shopping? This was a short ride and since we were staying in NYNY we got to ride the shuttle free (vs. $15 p/p, you also get this deal if you stay at the MGM too, how cool is that?! If it's free then it was meant to be...a good excuse for shopping!) Our driver was awesome and amazing, he told us about the history of the area and funny stuff. The outlet mall was cool, I got lots there! I bought new sunglasses, a watch and a purse at the Fossil store. And they have an undergarment outlet...hello...bought like 10 b.r.a.s. tee hee. (Good ones are hard to find here.) Old navy was there too. If you love to shop go there!

Hmmm...did I forget anything? We had been there before so this is just the new stuff we did this time. We walked the entire length of the Vegas Boulevard our first morning, leaving me with blisters for the rest of the time. UGH. I looked like a gimp! Ha, ha!

Overall it was a lovely trip...but being home is great!!! :)

Oh yeah, this is the $10 apple we had to try... and yes it was that good!!! Chocloate caramel walnut, YUM!!!

Ok so just a few pictures:

So much cool stuff happening!

Ok so The biggest thing on my mind is VEGAS BABY! We leave this Sunday and I already have vacation head, my brain is so not functioning at my in real life job! LOL! I can't wait, it will be sooo nice!

Also, I have been designing like crazy but still not much to show for it as I keep jumping back and forth between items, lol, so like me! I have a new DESIGNER SAMPLER available FOR FREE at my store at the Digiscrapshak (link to the right) but they are currently down changing their servers at the moment (until about Friday), so for now you will have to just take a look at the preview here and check my store for the FREE SAMPLER soon.

I realized that most of my kits are girlie so I decided to make a little something for those who have boys. I love the colors and the name...doesn't every little boy want to be a man of the law?

Ok it's been a long day at work and it's wayyy past my bedtime here (yes I stick to a bedtime lol) so I better get to bed before I drag myself around all day tomorrow, till then later chicklets!

Busy Week!

Wow it's been a busy week! I am so excited to announce that I will be coming soon to another awesome store...just can't say yet...Oh the suspense! LOL!

I did a CT call (yeah I know didn't put it up on my blog, bad, bad blog slacker) and the applications I got were amazing! I am so excited! I hope to have an answer back to all those who applied soon, no later than next Friday. YAY!

It is like a hurricane here today and guess what we were doing. Shoveling wheelbarrows full of topsoil and trucking it to our backyard and making little piles all over to be raked out at a later date ha, ha! I am covered in dirt it's in my ears my nose my mouth and places I would rather not mention! Ha, ha...in between my toes...where else?! I am so proud of my sweet little girl, she was out there helping us shovel dirt into the wheelbarrows for almost as long as I was! So proud of her helping us like that! Of course my hubby was out there all week after work doing it so I have to give him MAJOR credit! He works so hard!

Did some shopping last night and UGH can I just say we have a SERIOUS lack of stores here! I miss the big city so that I can actually find clothing! I FINALLY did find a few cute things so that turned my total frown upside down, at least a little bit. Tee-hee. My excuse was that I needed new clothes for our vacation, yeah that's right going on vacation in 2 WEEKS!!! Where are we going...VEGAS BABY!!! I LOVE VEGAS!!!! And this time we are leaving the sweet little kiddo behind and are going to see some shows, already booked tickets for the show La Reve at the Wynn I am SO EXCITED!!!! (Can u tell?) I am also looking forward to making myself "unplug" so to speak, as I don't have a laptop I will be forced to take a vacation from designing, forums, email and my in real life job of course and ya know what...I am looking forward to it, we'll see how long I can stand it without my internet connection! Ha, ha.

In Digiscrappin news I have a new kit in the works and I am VERY Excited! I LOVE the colors and hope to have it finished soon! Ok I've babbled enough, hope everyone has a great weekend! Mwuah!

IT PASSED!!!!!

So our union has been in negotiations for almost 2 years, negotiations failed and we were sent to mediation, the vote on the mediator's report was today and I just found out that IT PASSED!!! Yay! That's means no strike for us! I was getting really worried as both hubby and I work in the same union. I am almost in tears to know that this stress is almost over and we can start planning again. I hate planning for an uncertain future, especially when we still have so much landscaping to do. YAY, now we can start! What a load off!

In Digiscrappin news I just found a great new gal Heidi and her AWESOME Canadian Digi Scrappin site! Check it out: http://www.cdsu.ca and tell ALL your friends. Gotta support our fellow Canadians!!!

Off to celebrate ;)

Biker Babe

So I thought I'd share this layout I did today of my daughter. The photo isn't the greatest in quality but it was the whole inspiration behind my newest kit Rebel Diva. I love this picture, she has worn off temporary tattoos on her arm, funky sunglasses perched on top of her head and for some reason it has always screamed Biker Babe to me.

I also did some shopping at our store 40% off sale at the Digiscrapshak.com and got some awesome goodies! If you haven't been there be sure to check it out as the sale ends today at midnight.

Most everything used is from my Rebel Diva kit, black scribble alpha (recolored) from Vickie also at the Digiscrapshak.com and polaroid frame from Valorie Brown also at the Digiscrapshak.com.
